Recruitment appealed to Dani’s competitive nature, particularly the meritocratic environment that offered her the chance to manage her own income and progression. She is an excellent example of the progression path of a Trainee Associate Consultant at McGregor Boyall - within nine months she made the transition from Associate Consultant to Consultant. Whilst initially focused on candidate management, she gradually took on more responsibility and was given exposure to the entire end-to-end recruitment process.
As part of her training, she was given the opportunity to accompany Senior Consultants, from all areas of the business, to client visits and briefings. Such hands-on exposure really helped Dani to appreciate the ‘step-up’ required to become a Consultant and allowed her to develop her own personal style of client management, rather than following a predetermined script. She is now a successful Senior Consultant in our Commerce & Industry team, with her own Associate Consultant and is responsible for both account management and business development.
