After a year as a Resourcer, Henny became a Candidate Consultant shadowing more senior members of staff to develop his client side skills at a steady pace and in April 2005 he was given his first client to manage which involved working on a variety of IT infrastructure roles.
Henny is a great example of our flexible and open approach to new ideas – and our policy of really empowering our people. With no dedicated infrastructure department at the time, he expressed a keen interest in developing a separate division focusing on these types of roles. After speaking to his Manager, he was given the opportunity to present his ideas to the Managing Director who gave advice on how to present the idea to the rest of the company – and how to get buy in from other divisions who may feel that they were effectively having vacancies taken away from them. He developed his own business plan for the division, presented it to the whole company and quickly be came Associate Director running a team of five people.
Following Henny's success heading up the Tech SME Team he was asked to take up the challenge of establishing McGregor Boyall's Senior Appointment's Team in 2016.
