I am currently looking for an Ansible/ Docker Production Support Engineer (DevOps) to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Responsibilities

Pro-actively monitor, manage and improve availability and performance of the production environments (from presentation and application layers to Infrastructure layers)

Pro-actively manage the capacity of production applications

Plan and implement application releases, load tests and configuration changes

Customize production tools (monitoring, deployment, scheduling etc.)

Contribute to medium and high scale technical projects as part of the by contributing in architecture review and design, upgrading and migrating application systems to new platforms.

Provide feedback and propose solutions to management on performance, capacity and design issues

Experience required:

Production experience across the following:

System administration - Strong knowledge in Linux/Unix and basic knowledge on Windows systems

Monitoring - Strong experience of monitoring tools.

Data indexing platforms - Good knowledge of Log indexing platforms such as ELK and Splunk

Automation - Good knowledge on release and or server automation tools such as Ansible

Scripting - Strong scripting capabilities preferably python

Application servers - Good knowledge in configuring and supporting web technologies such as Tomcat, Apache, nginx, IIS

£500- 600pd
