London, 17th October 2016: Global recruitment specialists McGregor Boyall has appointed a new Associate Director to head up the London Technology Practice of their Commerce and Industry Division.

Commenting on his appointment Perry said “The fact that McGregor Boyall are a seasoned recruitment business who still strive to be very forward thinking was a huge attraction to me. It was clear that I would be able to drive the C&I technology division in my own vision, whilst retaining the core values that have represented the business for many years. Furthermore, I have someone above me who is supporting me every step of the way which was a crucial reason for my decision to join the McGregor Boyall Team.”

Myran Perry joins with over 10 year’s recruitment experience having started his career with Computer Futures. He joins McGregor Boyall from Argyll Scott where he was Associate Director heading up the Technology Permanent Team.

“I am delighted to have Myran on board to develop and expand our C&I technology offering in London,” said Sarah Greensmith, Business Head for C&I - Technology, HR and Procurement, “his experience and knowledge mean he is the ideal candidate to support and progress our existing team, as well as hire in fresh talent and increase our client base”.

London, 5th October 2016: Global recruitment specialists McGregor Boyall have been ranked number 4 in LinkedIn’s “Most Socially Engaged” Staffing Agencies in the EMEA Medium Enterprise category for 2016.

LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network with more than 380 million members in over 200 countries and territories. The ranking takes into account the social reach, employee engagement, employment brand and content marketing power of more than 60,000 search and staffing firms on LinkedIn.

Singapore, 12th August 2016: Global recruitment specialist McGregor Boyall’s Asia Pacific Operations are excited to be celebrating 5 years of trading this week, with a series of events to mark the occasion.

Having executed a significant amount of business in the region from their London base, the opening of an office in Singapore in 2011 was the next natural step for McGregor Boyall to provide a platform for continued growth in the Asia Pacific region.

“The first 3 years were certainly interesting, with a few hairy moments!” comment Group CEO Laurie Boyall. “I want to thank Luke Archer for his strong work steering us through the initial start-up phase and establishing a strong platform to take the business forward.”

The reigns have now been handed over to Richard Lett, who has been running McGregor Boyall’s Middle East operations since 2012. Lett’s 20 years’ financial services recruitment experience in London and the Middle East (including 4 years running McGregor Boyall’s successful Dubai Team) means he is the ideal choice to take McGregor Boyall’s Asia Pacific offering on to the next stage of growth.

Commenting on the milestone, Lett said “McGregor Boyall Asia Pacific is now a well-established business with a mature presence in the market and a strong team who are all passionate specialists in their field. Over the last few months we have consolidated and refined our Practices to focus on five specialist areas: Technology, Change, Compliance, Legal and Private Banking & Wealth Management.”

London, 8th February 2016: The latest Market Insights Report from global recruitment specialists McGregor Boyall suggests that businesses will have to do more in 2016 to retain their top talent. It looks set to be a tough year for employers with over 60% of clients surveyed believing there is a shortage of top talent and just over half of candidates stating that they are likely to be looking for a new role in 2016.

The Report also highlights that whilst remuneration will always be a key driver for candidates, having a good work life balance and flexible working opportunities are increasingly important, and employers that are able to offer these will be more likely to attract and retain the top talent.

Commenting on the report, Sarah Greensmith, Business Head for IT, HR and Procurement at McGregor Boyall said “We are now seeing up to 5 generations in the work place for the first time which is presenting interesting challenges for businesses. The question is, are businesses adaptable and flexible enough to meet the needs of their long serving employees whilst also appealing to the new generation of workers who have different expectations and ways of working?”

And while candidates still apply to organisations directly there is a strong preference for the security and additional support of utilising recruitment agencies, with 78% stating that would be their preferred method of sourcing their next opportunity. Using LinkedIn and Online Job boards came in second and third respectively.
