Java Developer - FX Technology

Job Title: Java FX Technology Software Developer - Contract Position

Location: London

Rate: £800 per day (inside IR35, umbrella)

Description:

An esteemed investment banking client is seeking to enhance their FX trading team by adding a skilled Software Developer to collaborate on a crucial application. This position presents an excellent chance to join a highly agile team operating within a prominent financial institution. You will contribute to the development and upkeep of vital components within a significant application.

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:

• Strong proficiency in Java, including the ability to develop latency-sensitive services and a deep understanding of threading and garbage collection for fine-tuning code performance.
• Designing and implementing secure REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Kafka or similar queueing software.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing using JUnit.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot framework.
• Familiarity with Eureka for service discovery.
• Knowledge of Zuul for API gateway implementation.
• Proficient in Hibernate for object-relational mapping.

It is highly desirable that candidates have hands-on experience with the technologies and are able to demonstrate their expertise in these areas.
