About Our Client
On behalf of our client, a leading UK financial institution, we are seeking talented Java Engineers & a Tech Lead to join a flagship team embarking on an ambitious technological transformation, migrating to a cutting-edge microservices architecture on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Bristol (Hybrid working options available)

The Opportunity
This is your chance to play a crucial role in shaping the future of financial technology! You'll be at the forefront of a digital transformation, working on:

- Migration from monolithic systems to microservices architecture
- Implementation of GCP's advanced cloud technologies
- Development of event-driven systems and API-first design
- Adoption of DevOps and CI/CD best practices

Key Skills Required
- Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot
- Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably GCP
- Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of DevOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with agile methodologies

Desirable Skills
- Experience with event-driven architectures
- Knowledge of API gateways (e.g., Apigee)
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases
- Understanding of the financial services industry
