One of our public sector clients requires an experienced DevOps Platform Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis. You will be working to develop and support platforms via AWS.
You will have the following skills and experience:
- AWS
- Containerisation technologies.
- CI/CD methodology and tooling for Containerisation and AWS
- Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Networking Fundamentals
- Designing and building platforms in AWS
- Observability and Telemetry
- Security Tooling and Practices
- Agile / kanban environments
Furthermore, it is beneficial if you have experience/ knowledge of a number of the following:
- Jenkins and Ansible
- Enterprise scale software builds and integration.
- Tools to support rapid development, iteration and delivery
- Deploying applications to cloud using PaaS and SaaS
- OpenShift, Kubernetes (cluster design and management), ECS, Fargate
- AWS Serverless Technologies
- Python
- CDK, TypeScript, Troposphere, Ansible, Bash
- CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline
- Artifactory, CodeArtifact
- Jenkins, Groovy, GitLab runners
This is a mostly remote contract, however you may be required in Edinburgh or Glasgow on the rare occasion for company meetings. 6-month contract with possible extensions. Competitive day rate OUTSIDE IR35.
