Python Quant Developer – Fixed Income – Hedge Fund/Buy Side – London/Remote

A market leading global Hedge Fund are looking to hire a Python Quant Developer to bolster their buy side operations within the Fixed Income space. You will work closely with Traders and Quants to develop a bespoke application suite for Pricing and Risk using modern Python technology and some C++ for the core libraries.

You will be required to gain a good understanding of their products, therefore a strong background within Fixed Income is required (FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities etc…). This will be coupled with exceptional technical knowledge of Python, real time systems and Linux OS.

This role provides the platform to be innovative, work on new and existing market leading platforms and provides a market leading compensation and benefits package too!

Requirements summary:

  • Python programming skills
  • SQL Databases, modern containers (Kubernetes/Docker)
  • Linux OS experience
  • Fixed Income knowledge (FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities)
  • Ability to work as an individual and as a team
  • Full SDLC experience

  • Chief Transformation Officer (Middle East)

    We have been retained by a distinguished retail banking client in the UAE. They are looking for an experienced Chief Transformation Officer who will help build a road-map and execute their Digital Transformation strategy. If that excites you we would love to hear from you!

    This person will report into the CEO of the bank.

    You will be responsible for all strategy related to the banks digital transformation journey. This is a business focused position across their retail and wholesale banking divisions.

    • Assesses financial and non-financial impact of opportunities

    • Promotes agile ways of working to accelerate transformation

    • Ensures delivery to time and budget, and achievement of targeted bottom line impact

    Essential

    • Knowledge and experience in Retail or wholesale banking products and appropriate regulations
    • Previous experience as a Chief Transformation Officer
    • Experience of devising and implementing Digital Transformation strategy
    • Business and Operations background
    • Experience of shaping the Customer and Employee journey delivery and management
    • Experience of operating model development and delivery of largescale transformational change
    • Willingness to be based full time in the Middle East

  • Java Developer (Scala or Javascript a plus)

    Seasoned Java developers with a strong computer science background required to work on a highly complex, powerful real-time system. Utilising the latest NoSQL technologies this platform is one of the very best in the sector - as such we're looking to speak to real computer science focussed developers who understand logic and mathematical systems.

    You will have:-

    • Strong hands on object oriented coding ability in Java (or Scala)
    • Development expertise on the back end with various database technologies
    • Any front end skills with Javascript or Angular would be a plus
    • Track record of designing high performance applications
    • Problem solving skills
    • Degree background in any of Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Maths or Physics

    My client, a large Investment Bank in London, have an exciting permanent opportunity for an Associate Vice President (AVP) Business Analyst who will be responsible for working across multiple work-streams for a cross product margining offering for their hedge fund clients.

    • Business Analysis experience

    • Experience with OTC Derivatives, Futures, Options and other traded products
