Windows Engineer - Virtualisation - Automation - Financial Services

Global financial services client is looking for a Windows Engineer to join their team in London. You will have responsibility for Windows desktop and server environments, virtualisation communication and collaboration systems, telephony, and more. They are currently undergoing a technological transition; updating their existing infrastructure and equipping it for our next stage of growth - taking full advantage of modern technologies to transform their environment into something that can meet the scalability, performance, and management needs of the future.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage the installation and configuration of desktop computing solutions, including thin clients and Virtual Desktops.
  • Improve the environment through automation and standardisation
  • Coordinate and execute trader desk moves, set up desks for new staff
  • Create, follow, and update procedural documentation
  • Assume responsibility of Incidents and Requests using our Jira request system

Skills and Experience required:

  • Windows desktops and servers in a fast paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server Operating Systems (Windows 10, Windows Server 2012R2/2016/2019),
  • Active Directory concepts (file permissions, DFS, DNS, DHCP, etc)
  • Configuration and maintenance of desktop and server hardware, and VMware vSphere virtualization
  • Experience with Telephony such as Speakerbus or similar products
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 software, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
  • Experience using Python and/or Powershell to automate routine administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of Linux is a plus
  • ITIL

  • IT Business Analyst - Capital Markets

    My leading consulting client are looking to bring on multiple IT Business Analysts with strong captial markets experience.

    Candidates should have:

    • Experience working in the financial services industry as Business Analyst
    • Knowledge within Capital Markets (fixed income, equities, FX, derivatives etc).
    • Demonstrable evidence of analyzing and documenting complex business processes
    • Excellent verbal communication skills; facilitating working meetings, building credibility and trust with stakeholders, negotiating contentious issues with stakeholders and escalating issues as promptly
    • Excellent business documenting skills, able to convey complex information with objectivity and brevity
    • Critical thinking and problem solving; architecting and explaining multiple solutions, assessing relative strengths and weaknesses and justifying solutions for approval

    Test analyst (Data) required to support a growing BI Test functions for a national logistics company based in central London. To be successful in this role you will have previous enterprise level experience and a proven record of testing data into the cloud. The role will involve:
