Python Developer

My client are a leading global investment bank currently seeking two Senior Python Developers to join a team within the business. This team are considered cutting edge within the market, using technology to solve complex problems for the bank. This area of the business has historically been very high-performing, and if successful you will be working alongside some of the strongest developers in the market. The hiring manager describes this team as 'like a tech company operating within a bank.' No prior finance experience is required.
Most of the code is greenfield, with very little BAU work. Candidates will be encouraged to play an active part in shaping the direction the team takes and this area of the bank is far less restricted than the industry when it comes to adopting new technologies. A large part of the role will be dedicated to working on distributed systems, statistical and AI models, plus cloud migration.
Candidates need to be able to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
Required skills:
- Excellent Python Development skills (Linux is preferred)
- Minimum 7 years prior experience as a developer/ software engineer
- Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms)
- API development experience
- Model development skills
Nice to have:

Senior Platform Services Analyst – London – Hybrid
A Global Financial Services provider working at the heart of the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets covering FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Energy & Commodities are looking for a Senior Platform Services Analyst to join their team in London.
Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
Responsibilities:
- Working within a shift rota to provide support coverage from 7am – 6pm
- Contribute towards ‘follow the sun’ support model, working closely with global teams in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for each region
- Perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all members are connected to the platform
- Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal users, escalating to Development teams appropriately
- Daily interaction with all internal stakeholders with regards to support issues
- Efficiently create and track issues within an incident-management system to help identify trends and patterns

Skills:
