Accounts Receivable

Up to £180 per day

The Accounts Receivable / Collections team is responsible for the timely collection of all funds due for a variety of group businesses.

The AR Specialist – Cash Application role resides within the Accounts Receivable / Collections team and is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate application of cash receipts in the company bank accounts against outstanding client invoices. The role will work closely with the collections team to enable effective conversations with clients regarding outstanding debt. Close collaboration with the Corporate Accounting team is also required to ensure robust monthly cash reconciliations. The role will also provide oversight and control to regulatory considerations such as the holding of client funds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Download, identify and post manual cashbook entries for a number of companies
  • Document, post and allocate customer receipts.
  • Reconciling cash receivables.
  • Download daily bank statements, analyse and coordinate with AR, and other departments
  • Investigate AR mailbox queries and unapplied cash and resolve with AR team.
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with AR to resolve open items promptly .
  • Follow the Client Money process.
  • Complete all process documentation as required



Skills and Experience

• Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
• Previous exposure Sales Ledger reporting would be advantageous
• Oracle and Workday financial reporting experience advantageous
• Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work

    Job Responsibilities

    This will be a very “hands on” technical role requiring the individual to act as a technical lead to help lead and build a team of around 10-15 engineers.

    The role is with a global banking client but within a function tasked with building platforms for areas that run across the entire bank. Part of their new Digital Banking initiatives has seen the demand for building in-house platforms increase and the client is now looking at building out a platform which will act as an internal global “community” where centralised technical information can be accessed / shared across the organisation.

    Please note this role requires no previous Banking / Financial Services experience but candidates should have worked on large-scale systems within their respective industry domains.

    The role requires (but is not limited) to the following criteria:

    • Proven experience as a Technical Lead who can lead and build engineering teams (10+) as well as take ownership with experience managing global stakeholders up to the C level
    • Must possess “Hands on” Technical ability & still maintain a passion to code.
    • Contribute towards the overall design and architecture of the platform.
    • Engage directly with C-Level stakeholder with an ability to own and drive the relevance of current / upcoming technology trends to continuously evolve this “community”.
    • Proven experience building out similar platforms such as internal web portal systems / e-commerce systems / global web-based marketplace type platforms etc…

    Key Technical Skills

    The ideal candidate should have the following skills / background:

    • Proven experience of leading teams of up to 10+ engineers.
    • Hands on experience with the following technologies:
      • Java (Essential)
      • Microservices (Springboot)
      • ReactJS
      • Python (Highly Advantageous)
    • Experience working with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB
    • Experience building out scalable robust platforms such as internal portal systems / web-based marketplaces / e-commerce platforms.
