FX Automation Test Analyst – Glasgow – Hybrid
A Major Financial Services Provider are looking for a FX Automation Test Analyst to join their growing team in Glasgow. What you will be doing:
You will be working with the Pre-Trade Markets Tech team who are responsible for designing, building, deploying, and supporting all the technology solutions required for the Markets front office trading as well as solutions for Sales, Research, and Banking. The team covers all asset classes including Credit, Equities, FX, and Rates. The team partner closely with the heads of the business to deliver market leading platforms to meet our clients’ needs.
- Develop exceptional, robust tests that will play a central role in the continuous integration pipeline. A zero-tolerance approach to flaky tests is required.
- Work closely with the development teams to contribute and take responsibility of the test design and execution in various phases of the project lifecycle.
- Participate in agile sprints and use automated and exploratory test case design in an agile development environment.
- Contribute to the wider QA team, bringing forward new ideas and taking accountability for improvements to the test framework and processes.
Basic Qualifications/Skills:
- Strong automation testing experience
- Exceptional development skills including Java
- Good knowledge of standard development and build tools such as GIT, TeamCity etc.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication skills with strong verbal and written communication skills, together with well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience with Unix and Relational databases
- Experience with continuous delivery, automation and understanding of application containerisation.
- Investment banking experience, ideally working on a front office trading application.
- Experience with e-commerce systems.
- Experience gained in Foreign Exchange Cash & Options and/or Money Markets.

A Global Financial Services provider working at the heart of the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets covering FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Energy & Commodities are looking for a Senior Platform Services Analyst to join their team in London.
Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
Responsibilities:
- Working within a shift rota to provide support coverage from 7am – 6pm
- Contribute towards ‘follow the sun’ support model, working closely with global teams in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for each region
- Perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all members are connected to the platform
- Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal users, escalating to Development teams appropriately
- Daily interaction with all internal stakeholders with regards to support issues
- Efficiently create and track issues within an incident-management system to help identify trends and patterns
- Create and monitor internal reports and usage queries
- Assist with product testing and project work
Skills:
- At least 3 years hands-on support experience within a financial institution (buy-side, sell-side, venue/platform provider)
- Proven experience of MSSQL, Oracle and Sybase database environments, including complex query-writing
- Solid application support experience within a Unix / Linux environment
- Good working knowledge of the FIX protocol
- Proven experience of supporting Windows Server environments
- Experience in troubleshooting network problems: i.e. firewall and routing problems
- Good understanding of international Equity market mechanics and flows
Desirable:
- Exposure to supporting message-based architecture
- Working knowledge of at least one buy-side or sell-side Order Management System
- Good understanding of Fixed Income market mechanics and flows
