I am currently looking for an Automation Testing Analyst (Selenium/ Java) to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Main responsibilities

Implement test automation using best of breed software tools for both server side and client side components.

Troubleshoot QA environments, diagnosing and resolving issues.

Should take complete automation responsibility and work with minimal supervision

Reporting progress during test automation development and execution phases.

Maintain automation test structure to facilitate future additions / amendments and on-going execution.

Supporting and utilising company standards for development and testing.

Effectively follow the software development life cycle, including defect management

Communicate effectively with Senior Development & Test Manager.

Required Skills and Experience

Strong automation experience using Java , Selenium

Experience in automation from scratch (tool identification, planning, frame work development, estimation, script development)

Experience in perl, bash scripting

Experience in financial application automation mandatory

Experience in FX Pricing and trade flow testing preferred

Experience in SQL, UNIX

Knowledge of industry standard test management and defect tracking tools like ALM, JIRA preferred

Responsibilities

The automation test analyst will work closely with the development teams from the start of development in order to advise on what is needed to facilitate automation and to understand the test cases that will be required to achieve full test coverage.

Taking part in whole team daily meetings from the outset of a project to discuss issues, progress and blockers.

Working closely with functional testers to help support them in the automation of existing testing. Providing training, support and specific scripts to them to help design and build maintainable automated test suites.

The individual will help diagnose the causes of failures in execution of test suites when they occur and work with the development teams to resolve them.
