A financial services company based in the City of London seeks an IT Business Analyst to join a Global Regulatory Reporting Programme to help deliver a number of trade reporting releases involving multiple regulators.

Therefore it is essential that all applicants have prior experience of working on Regulatory Reporting projects (ideally MiFID or EMIR) within a financial services company. You must also have a strong Technology background (SQL, Excel etc) and it will be highly desirable if you have Commodity product knowledge.

As this is an IT Business Analyst position you will be expected to perform the following duties on a day to day basis –

  • Write specifications

  • Conduct gap analysis

  • Requirements gathering

You will also be liaising with a number of key stakeholders and separate business functions within the organisation, this is where your Regulatory Reporting, OTC Derivatives and IT knowledge will be utilised.

Essential

  • Proven background as an IT Business Analyst

  • Regulatory / Trade / Transaction Reporting exposure - ideally MiFID or EMIR

  • Experience of working in a financial services company
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Derivative Products (OTC and/or ETD)
  • Data analysis - interrogation via SQL, navigating data tables and mappings, data manipulation and results gathering via MS Excel

Desirable (highly)

  • Commodities market knowledge
