Business Analyst - SMR/SMCR - Financial Services - Cardiff

£35000 - £45000 per annum Benefits

A leading financial services firm is looking for a Business Analyst to lead a work stream focusing on analysis and delivery of the new regulatory requirements for the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SMCR).

The candidate for this role will have experience working on SMR/SMCR within a financial services organisation.

Previous experience of working closely with Compliance, HR and Risk to analyse regulatory requirements is also necessary. This candidate will be able to understand the impact of SMCR on HR processes, systems and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and/or provide guidance for documentation such as gap analysis, impact assessments, business requirement documents, operating procedures, operational user guides.
  • Plan and conduct requirement workshops/meetings where required and document the outcomes
  • Ensure the traceability of requirements through to end user testing
  • Assists with the testing of new functionality and any back-office configuration changes where required.
  • Assist the business stakeholders in the definition of roll out plans, including liaison with training and development to effectively imbed any IT change into the business

Key Required Skills:

  • Experience operating as a lead BA to manage workstreams independently
  • Understanding the SMCR regulations and how they impact financial services is essential
  • Experience in carrying out HR and Risk/Compliance led change
  • Able to carry out gap analysis across HR processes and systems
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proven ability to work with stakeholders and SMEs within HR and Risk/Compliance

    Senior Legal Counsel, Global Liquidity and Cash Management– 6-month contract

    Our client, a tier 1 global banking group, is looking for a Payments and Cash Management Lawyer looking at digital payments and ecommerce. They position will be Senior Legal Counsel within their (GLCM) area. It is a 6-month contract position offering £350 - £500 per day. The role is based in London.

    Responsibilities

    • The role will focus on contractual matters surrounding liquidity and cash management and you will be required to undertake negotiations
    • Collaboration with GLCM’s documentation and sales team will also be required
    • You will provide legal advice, support and legal risk management to payments and cash management eChannels area within the organisation

    Skills and experience

    • Qualified lawyer
    • Experience within financial services law, particularly banking
    • Advantageous to have compliance and corporate experience however not necessary
    • Specialist and detailed knowledge and experience in corporate trust and fiduciary risk

This role will join the team on a journey of change, redesigning databases and ETL processes and implementing new applications and therefore you must be passionate and up for a challenge!

    • Minimum of 2 years commercial experience using SQL Server 2012 or above
