Job Title Senior C Developer

The Macros technology group support all of the Rates, Credit and Foreign Exchange businesses by providing Trade Capture, Process and Reporting solutions. It is a global department with offices in London, New York, Pune, Singapore and many other countries.

In this role, we are looking for a senior developer with significant experience who has work across multiple projects and systems in their current or previous roles. You will need to be someone who is keen to join a team which is expanding and delivering excellent technology solutions.

Your Role

  • You will be analysing, designing and building software solutions, the candidate will be expected to contribute fully to architectural and design conversations with the other Senior developers within the team, and the Technical lead.
  • Maintenance and development of the BARX Trade Services platform, ensuring standards are met, with a strong emphasis on delivering reliable, performant code.
  • Co-ordination with the wider TPE team to ensure front to back deliveries are managed and delivered on time and within budget.
  • Leadership of the Glasgow based Trade Services development team.
  • Daily updates will be expected to ensure that project tasks are progressing, and that this is being communicated effectively to the stakeholder community.

Essential Skills

  • C : Must have experience of writing multithreaded server applications on Windows using Visual Studio, however, exceptional C Linux programmers looking to gain Windows experience will be considered.
  • Experience of source code repository systems and multi-branched development.
  • Must have worked on multi-tier service oriented enterprise systems using messaging for inter service communication and request/response/broadcast to the GUI.
  • XML : XML Document Processing, XSD, XSLT

Desirable Skills

  • Oracle Database Development: PL/SQL, ability to write stored procedures, triggers, Toad.
  • Middleware: Experience of using middleware messaging components such as Tibco, Talarian, Solace or MQ.
  • C : Linux development, Boost, Unit Testing and Mock Objects
  • An understanding of FX derivatives products and trading flows (e.g. clearing, e-trading STP).

    Main duties and purpose of the role:

    • Work independently with key business stakeholders across the bank, to understand and capture reporting requirements.
    • Use reporting requirements to identify, onboard and model required datasets within EA.
    • Use EA data model to create and deliver dashboards, reports and extracts to meet reporting requirements.
    • Provide ad-hoc data and analytics to our business.

    Implementation Project Manager (Software Applications / Data Migration)

    Market leading Investment Management client is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Implementation / Project Manager with a track record of successful software and data migration projects (not infrastructure please). This role will be based in Edinburgh City Centre and will be offered on an initial 6 month basis, but with a view to extend.

    What does the role entail?

    • Working with project, tech and business leads to define implementation strategy.
    • Liaising with tech delivery, operations and test teams to ensure appropriate consideration of priorities and constraints.
    • Overseeing the process from migration to live operations.
    • Managing the creation, maintenance, configuration control and storage of the migration process.

    What experience will the ideal candidate have?

    • Experience of technical/operational implementation delivery and change management.
    • Management experience e.g. will have overseen large scale IT implementations.
    • Strong data migration experience
    • Experience of platform configuration and release management
    • Experience of working with 3rd party providers

    I am ideally looking for candidates who are able to start immediately although 4 week's notice will be considered. The role will pay up to £550 per day for the correct candidate.

    I am currently looking for an Automation Test Lead (Java/ C#) to join a top FinTech organisation based in London/ Surrey. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business.


    Prepare test cases corresponding to business and functional requirements

    Devise and carry out both manual and automated tests to establish the quality of the software under test

    Prepare Test Data and Test Case execution

    Log, prioritise, and track defects

    Skills Required

    Strong automation testing/ lead experience

    Ability to set up automation frameworks from scratch using Selenium and Java/ C#

    Expertise in identifying and documenting defects using JIRA

    Familiar with writing SQL queries and Shell scripting to generate test artifacts

As a Dashboard developer you will be working with the Global Compliance Management Reporting Team to develop online Compliance dashboards in Tableau (and/or equivalent visualisation tools) by liaising with SMEs/stakeholders to review big data and data analytics.

  • Possess a very good /advanced understanding of developing dashboards in Tableau with supporting statistical and maths knowledge;
