You will join an existing team building complex solutions for the healthcare and medical market which will prove critical in the fight against various medical conditions, from lifelong management to remote diagnosis.
You will be working closely with both embedded and device teams to build out functionality and work across the full development lifecycle from conception, development, testing and release.
Experience Required:

  • Strong C# Development experience
  • Commercial experience of developing solutions for externa device communication
  • Agile team experience
  • Developing safety critical software or for a highly regulated market.

    A leading investment bank in the city of London are looking to bring on multiple contract resources to help enhance their build out of a very successful Fixed Income eTrading application suite. The current requirement is for an Embedded Software specialist with senior or technical lead experience to provide guidance and leadership to a firmware development team working closely with H/W and lab scientists.

Responsibilities will include:-

  • A knowledge of flash operations and peripheral programming.
  • A familiarity with schematics produced by the electronics team.
  • Knowledge of embedded system hardware peripheral blocks low-level operation
  • Able to debug hardware issues together with the electronics team
  • Self-driven, takes ownership
  • The ability to solve problems under conditions of uncertainty
  • Capable of strategic thinking in times of pressure
  • Experience of working as part of an Agile team

Although not essential previous experience in the medical device sector would be a plus, as would knowledge of ARM processor architecture. In terms of future development of the platform any skills in C#, C++, Qt, Python or TCP/IP would be a bonus.
