My leading global investment banking organisation is looking to bring on a Chief Product Owner to support the successful delivery of their regulatory operations transformation portfolio.

The roleholder will be responsible for:

  • Development of the strategic operations direction and roadmap for FM Regulatory Operations functions, ensuring close collaboration between the functions.
  • Strategy, the Operations Strategy and investment appetite.
  • Ensure close collaboration and a unified service delivery across the interrelated Data, Regulatory, Margin Operations and wider FMO and banks functions
  • Mitigation of FM risk of regulatory enforcement and reputational damage and ensure on-going global compliance across the FM Regulatory Reporting Operations.
  • Representing the stakeholders, and has the mandate to prioritise scope on behalf of the Regulatory Operations team, setting the overall transformation vision and aims

Candidates should have:

Extensive investment banking experience operating at a director level covering the implementation of strategy into technology solutions, ideally with some time in the finance sector covering financial markets products. International exposure is a must and this person will have the ability to handle cultural diversity and developing high performers.

  • Excellent Market Knowledge: Awareness and understanding of investment banking from an economic and markets perspective.
  • Business Strategy and Model: Complete understanding of business strategy and model appropriate.
  • Risk Management and Control: The ability to identify, assess, monitor, control and mitigate risks to the firm.
  • Financial Analysis and Control: Interpret the firm’s financial information, identify key issues based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures.
  • Governance, Oversight and Controls: Assess the effectiveness of the firm’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas.

    • Have a natural curiosity to gain a deeper understanding of client needs..
    • Ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders.
    • Experience with SuccessFactors or similar solution.
    • Experience in dealing with the clients of HR to understand the user perspective.
    • Experience within a Design Authority in major transformation programme.
