This person will be part of the Bank ExCo, reporting into the COO and responsible for all technology and operational performance for the Bank.
You must have a deep technology understanding, have managed operations/service teams and outstanding relationship skills. You will also need to have a strong retail or wholesale banking background.
Acting as an ExCo member of the bank, driving bank strategy -
• Owning, defining and implementing an IT and operations strategy that underpins the Bank’s overall business strategy
• Maintaining and monitoring performance through relationship with TechCo
• Setting up, managing and enhancing the Bank’s IT, IS and operational procedures and controls
• Own, develop, test and optimise a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans for the Bank
• Working closely with the Group’s CTO and CISO to design and implement all aspects of the Bank’s IT architecture
• Working closely with the Bank’s Compliance & Legal teams

You will be working in a brand new team that will work closely with the equities algo trading quants on the design and development of high performance trading strategies for the equities algo business. Whilst this is a development reasonable maths skills will also be required. The team are very happy to consider candidates with a strong interest in algorithmic programming who have an in depth knowledge of core Java including the internal workings of the JVM. You will also be required to demonstrate solid problem solving skills. You will be responsible for building high performance trading systems as well as working on the design and development of algo trading strategies. Any level of experience will be considered but some banking is essential.
