Client Manager - FX

Job purpose
The candidate will work within the EMEA team to help deliver on sales, business development and client relationship management for our client – they will be part of a team servicing and actively selling into active FX participants in Europe across Banks, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, NBFI's and Corporates. This role focuses on growing our client's product reach across the Settlement, Processing and Data product offerings.
Essential Function / primary duties and responsibilities of the job:
Strategic:
- Product participation expansion (members, prospects and third parties).
- Market Processing and Data Products; proactively target and penetrate both third party clients and our client's prospects to increase new product reach in designated territories.
- Managing client targeting strategy in the region with appropriate record-keeping (GoldVision).
- Delivery of our client's value proposition through appropriate client engagement.
- Work as an integral part of the Global team to assist both the achievement of the EMEA Sales KPIs and the Global KPIs.
- Accountable for increasing meaningful client engagement measured by appropriately detailed plans, action planners, and strategies for the team's assigned accounts.
- Build and maintain relationships—leverage our client's executives and deploy SMEs effectively to build relationships and strengthen the engagement where required.
- Assist Team Lead in defining and driving account reviews and implement plans to ensure broad and deep relationships are developed, valued and retained.
- Have a clear, in-depth understanding of the member's FX businesses to help drive clients to expand their usage of our client's product suite.
- Know and document all aspects of clients to maximize understanding of relationships, drivers and issues, optimize commercial benefit and industry support and meet KYC requirements.
Operational:
- Accountable for ensuring that all our client's customers receive an excellent level of customer service as measured by regular service reviews, call reports and satisfaction surveys.
- Responsible for ensuring that all issues are responded to and resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
- Feedback market and regional activity to relevant colleagues and departments within our client's business to ensure understanding of market, member and client drivers and impacts or potential issues for our client.
Leadership:
- Demonstrate networking capability within the market measured by understanding and intelligence on issues/drivers. Capable of regular relevant and impactful business conversations with key influencers and FX leaders in the region.
Knowledge, skills & abilities / competencies required for successful job performance:
- Knowledge of the Foreign Exchange business is preferable, not essential.
- Language skills – fluent French and/or German required
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain internal/external relationships
- Excellent communication skills.
- Motivation and resilience to engage in new business sales both within existing clients and cold prospects.
- Team player.
- Confidence pitch to various people from different backgrounds: regionally / horizontally across other departments / vertically across different seniority.
- Bachelor's Degree desirable
- Prior sales experience, preferably FX knowledge (desirable)
