Cloud Automation Engineer - JavaScript - vRealize Automation & vRealize Orchestrator

Permanent - up to £85,000 + Excellent package

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cloud Automation Engineer to join a global financial services client on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of their internal private cloud IaaS utilising vRealize Automation & vRealize Orchestrator.

The main technology components used within the team to provide these services are as follows:

  • VMware Cloud Foundation
  • VMware vRealize Automation 7.x & vRealize Orchestrator
  • VMware ESXi
  • VMware vCenter
  • VMware vRealize Operations Manager and Log Insight
  • VMware vSAN and NSX
  • Dell EMC VxRack SDDC

Skills and experience required:

  • Proven experience in the design and development of IaaS and automation solutions using vRealize Automation / Orchestrator
  • Programming experience with JavaScript essential
  • Experience developing and managing multi-cloud application blueprints
  • Experience with several automation toolsets such as Jenkins, Puppet, Ansible
  • Strong familiarity with scripting (ie Unix Shell, PowerCLI, PowerShell, Perl, Python etc)
  • Foundational knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
  • Excellent “hands on” working knowledge of VMware technologies, including VMware vSphere 6.x and vCenter
