Cloud DevOps Engineer - AWS – Strong Python or Go – Ansible – Terraform or CloudFormation

Global financial services client is looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join their team in London. The role sits within Global Infrastructure Engineering, responsible for engineering, design and integration across the Cloud environment. The successful candidate with have end-to-end understanding of the system development lifecycle and will have a vital role in shaping future strategy and direction within the organization. Key focus of this role is AUTOMATION.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop Automation standards and deployment methodologies
- Propose, design, and implement enhancements and additions to the current environment
- Develop infrastructure automation standards and procedures
- Assist in managing continuous improvement of engineering, delivery, and operational practices
Skills and experience required:
- In-depth coding experience with Python or Go
- Background in Cloud or DevOps Engineering
- Knowledge and experience of AWS
- Exposure to Configuration Management Solutions such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
- Tangible experience of DevOps tools i.e. Jenkins, GIT
- Exposure to container technology i.e. Docker, Kubernetes
