The role

Within their communications team they have a busy internal design team who work across print, digital and 3D collateral, producing everything from social media videos to estate signage, from umbrellas to sales brochures. The Coordinator manages the processes that make this possible, booking in jobs for the design team, and seeing individual projects through from start to finish. S/he also supports our Events team in delivering our company conferences

The Design & Production Coordinator will act as a point of contact for colleagues across the business, supporting them in their roles.

The ideal candidate combines enthusiasm, experience and expertise in production, with operational and commercial nous. This is a key role in a busy team.


In particular:

· Manage the workflow and workload of our in-house design team, to deliver excellent customer experience to colleagues across the business (to be clear – this is not line managing the designers, it is managing their workflow)

· Work with the Head of Communications and the Design team to deliver an in-house design centre of excellence, with published processes and SLAs

· Engage with and manage external partners as appropriate/necessary in order to meet increased workload or help colleagues achieve results that are consistent with the work we produce internally

· Play a leading and proactive role in the rollout and ongoing guardianship of the Catalyst brand

· Manage production of branded materials across the business

· Manage production projects (eg updating signage on Catalyst properties)

· Advise and support colleagues on the brand guidelines, ensuing brand integrity and standards are consistent across the business

· Support the events team in delivering our summer and winter conferences (up to about 0.3 of your role at the busiest times)

· Manage the print production process, commissioning external printers and ensuring quality and value for money

· Manage our ‘Print on Demand’ service, giving colleagues access to pre-made collateral

· Develop, manage and update the company's image library, including ensuring colleagues are aware of, and follow, our image consent requirements

· Commission external photographers/videographers/other suppliers where approporiate

· Ensure all procurement procedures are met when sourcing and contracting suppliers

· Work to an annual budget

· Act as advocate and ambassador for the People and Culture directorate at all times

· Suggest, seek and implement improvements to existing processes and products
