Compensation & MI Specialist

This newly created Compensation & MI specialist role is perfect if you are seeking to step your career forward into a broader and more diversified portfolio. This is a high visibility role, where you will support the CPO in the continued development of a comprehensive compensation framework appropriate for a Bank operating within multiple regulated environments. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development of HR operations, MI and Reward standards which drive the motivation & retention of a high performing organisation.
Core responsibilities include:

  • Conduct external benchmarking on compensation and benefits to ensure the company remains competitive and retains talent
  • Manage the annual compensation review process including management of all analytics, reporting & modelling for multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assist in the formation and development of the compensation & reward infrastructure for new markets in line with ClearBank® business growth
  • Develop standards and overall data integrity of the HR systems and tools, alongside the delivery of MI and reporting dashboards to provide insights based on analytics around workforce planning, talent, diversity, performance and reward.
  • Responsible for the running of the HR Operations and compliance framework & the company wide peoplepower plan

Core experience & competencies required:
The successful candidate will have the ability to work independently and to integrate quickly into a small, delivery focused HR team.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent with mid-level experience of Reward & MI in a fast-paced, commercial organisation preferably within financial services. Consultancy and/or business management experience would be useful
  • Good understanding of compensation plan design alongside the requirements associated within financial services regulatory environment
  • Commercial, proactive and technically savvy individual who can work autonomously to drive business solutions
  • High level credibility and strong communication skills to engage effectively with senior stakeholders and the broader business
  • High level analytical skills with the ability to present complex data and provide narrative to senior management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel & Powerpoint skills are essential

  • Senior Communications Manager (Internal/External)

    A global banking organisation is currently looking for a senior communications professional to join the business who will have expertise across both Internal and External communications.

    You will have access to the leadership team and create and implement internal and external engagement strategies. This opportunity will work closely with the key stakeholders who will provide source of content but also building and maintaining relationships with key media contacts in a proactive media position will be key. Part of this opportunity will also be to engage the business and ensure they are well informed using various channels.

    The ideal background of this candidate will be from the private banking space although you will be considered if you have solid experience from wealth management and strong knowledge of wealth trusts.

    To be considered:

    • Experience in both internal and external communications within the private banking space or wealth management
    • Strategic but also comfortable with hands on implementation
    • Worked with senior leaders to source content and write engaging communications

  • IT / Technology Finance Business Partner (Banking)
    £60000 - £70000 per annum

    Our client (Financial Services) is seeking a Business Partner for their Group IT & Technology department

    The role will provide support to business unit heads, and will contribute to a number of key processes (Budgeting, Business Case Analysis, Monthly Finance MI etc.)

    Candidates must have strong Finance Business Partnering / Management Accounting experience, and must have partnered with an IT / Technology department. Banking experience is highly preferable.

    Key Duties

    • Providing analytical support to new business initiatives. Assessing and contributing to business cases for tactical and strategic investments in any Function and monitoring progress and benefits realisation.
    • Providing analytical support for new (or renewed) contracts with major suppliers of any Function
    • Ensuring all budgets and plans for each Function are produced in a timely manner and to quality required for submission to executive committees and the Board of directors.
    • Managing the production of the monthly financial MI (including insightful, actionable commentary) for each Function by working day 3 of each month.
    • Managing a view of financial risks and opportunities within each Function’s cost base on an ongoing basis.
    • Creating analytical insight to help identify opportunities to drive change and improve efficiency (including driving revenues, reducing costs) within each Function
    • Documentation of key Finance processes including identification of key controls

    Essential Experience

    • Minimum 3 years as a Management Accountant or a similar Finance role partnering an IT / Technology team
    • Experience working within the banking industry.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Degree – ideally in quantitative subject eg Mathematics, Accounting or Statistics

    Desirable Experience

    • Excel at Macro level desirable.
