Associate Director, Corporate Development
SCOPE OF ROLE:

  • Member of dynamic Corporate Development team, which is accountable for transacting the Bank’s acquisitions, disposals, investments, strategic alliances, joint ventures and other special projects.
  • Corporate Development designs and executes optimal deal structures for the Bank, working closely in particular with GEDs, Product and Client Segment teams, functions, geographic specialists and external advisers.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ CHALLENGES:


The candidate will be required to:

  • Provide support to senior management in examining corporate development activities and strategic intitiatives.
  • Produce financial analyses and valuation models for transactions as a basis for deal structuring and negotiation.
  • Generate high quality research and analysis for transactions.
  • Take an active role in transactions from the initial scoping phase through to completion.
  • Support the preparation of detailed written memoranda and presentations describing the targets and transactions for review by senior management and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing virtual physical data rooms and interfacing with potential bidders and advisors.
  • Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in other teams and geographies.
  • Ensure adherence to internal regulatory and compliance policies.


SELECTION CRITERIA

  • The candidate should have the following characteristics, capabilities and skills:
    • Understanding of banking sector corporate finance principles (M&A, investments, strategic alliances, joint ventures, etc).
    • Proven transaction skill-set and experience of doing deals.
    • University degree and a high level of numeracy.
    • High quality research, financial modeling and valuation skills.
    • Conscientiousness with high attention to detail.
    • Strong project management, communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Positive contributor to team in terms of ideas and knowledge.
    • Ability to deliver time-critical projects and work in diverse project teams.
    • Strong commitment to integrity, professionalism and teamwork
    • The role will require travel globally on a project basis.
