Data and MI Analyst

£490 - £500 per day



My client is a global Oil & Gas firm based in Sunbury-on-Thames seeking a Data and MI Analyst on a 7 month basis (with extensions). The Resourcing Modernisation project is responsible for delivering a global, scalable, and strategic Resourcing Function delivering value to our clients through connected systems and processes, capable teams, and data driven results.

A critical delivery of the project is a comprehensive set of Management Information at both a Strategic and Operational level. To this end, a requirement has arisen for an MI and Data Analyst to work alongside both the Product, Process leads and Project Director to gather key requirements for MI and translate them into specifications for build.

The Data and MI Analyst will also be responsible for leading the workstream from a technical perspective and managing through design, development and delivery.


  • Ownership of reporting technology workstream, developing relationships with all Resourcing Project, Centre of Excellence and Analytics teams.
  • Oversee the delivery of MI outputs, including global strategic and operational reporting cross regional and division.
  • Ensuring global key metrics are agreed and necessary technical requirements are documented, integrating closely with the central Analytics team.
  • Responsible for delivering the requirement (alongside the Integration Lead) for the integration to the Global Data Warehouse.
  • Working closely with the other members of Technology Project Team to on other areas of data analysis and remediation.
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and delivering best practices for use of data.

Key challenges

  • Operating across numerous countries, languages, timezones and business practices
  • Liaising with numerous stakeholders with differing priorities and focus and seeking consensus


  • Solid experience of working with data, and information systems, data analysis, Dashboards
  • Proven experience of developing reporting outputs, including summarising insights and delivering key messages.
  • Working experience of HR systems, with broad understanding of HR processes (Resourcing desirable)
  • Workday and Kenexa Brassring experience is a bonus.
  • Excellent networking and people management skills, including skill in co-ordinating and influencing while being a team player

Working location for this role will primarily be in Sunbury

  • Python Equities Quant/Strats Developer - VP/Director - £150k
    £100000 - £150000 per annum bonus

    Python Equities Quant/Strats Developer – VP/Director – up to £150k

    A market leading Equities Trading team are looking to bring onboard a number of experienced python developers to work on the expansion of their algo trading platform in London. The strats/quant team work directly with the Equities Traders to create solutions that directly influence trading decisions.

    The candidate will be expected to have an excellent understanding of the Python programming language, ideally with an accompanying OO language (Java or C ). This should be coupled with a sound understanding of Cash Equities products and systematic trading.

    The successful candidate can look to receive between £100,000 and £150,000 base salary, plus a bonus linked to desk performance.

  • Equities Asset Management Java Lead - Director Level - £160k
    £130000 - £160000 per annum bonus

    Equities Asset Management Java Technical Lead – Director Level – up to £160k base

    A leading Asset/Wealth Manager based in London are continuing an aggressive expansion of their Equities Trading platform. Because of this expansion they require a hands on technical lead to manage and continue the growth of the London technology trading stack. The role will involve; core java development, design and architecture, code review and general day to day management duties.

    The team work closely with Quants, Traders and other business critical stakeholders. The team itself are one of the most innovative within the organisation and operate within a hugely dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

    The successful candidate can look to receive between £130k and £160k base plus a healthy bonus.


    • Extensive Core Java Systems development experience

  • C Quant/Strats Developer - Equities Trading - Associate/VP
    £70000 - £120000 per annum bonus

    C Quant/Strats Developer required - Associate/VP - Equities Trading - Business Reporting - £70k-£120k

    A market leading Quant/Strats team at a tier one investment bank require an exceptional C developer, ideally with some experience of Python to join their Equities Trading team. The team themselves work on the Equities Trading quantitative models and report dsirectly into the business. The role will provide the platform for a strong technologist and mathematician, to face off to Quants and Traders and work closely with them to implement cutting edge C models/solutions.

    This team require both exceptional technological skills (C on Windows) and mathematical/problem solving abilities (PhD in Mathematics or related subject highly desirable). Also a strong understanding of Derivative products, ideally Equities required.

    The succesful candidate can look to recieve between £70,000 and £120,000 base salary, either Associate or VP level (dependant on experience)

    This will also be backed by a bonus and package funded by the trading desk themselves.
