I have a client in the Greater Manchester area, specializing in e-commerce and digital platform delivery who are looking for a Data Protection Consultant to join the business as they press ahead with regulatory change and business change programmes, to fall in line with new legislation and improve business processes. You will already have proven experience in a Data Protection Consultant role, or similar, where you have expert level knowledge of Data Protection, information governance, and associated policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Demonstrable experience in a Data Protection Consultant role, or similar positions, with the ability to provide subject matter expertise around the Data Protection Act and GDPR
  • Certified in a relevant Data Protection qualification such as ISEB or PC.DP
  • Solid understanding of defining data flows, data maps, data owners and information governance
  • Previous experience designing and delivering new data management frameworks to fall in line with Data Protection
  • Experience in commercial, digital, e-commerce or regulated industries highly preferred


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the programme manager and project team by providing subject matter expertise as the Data Protection Consultant
  • Provide expertise around regulatory changes in the update from the Data Protection Act to GDPR compliance
  • Provide background business analysis skills to assess the ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ state, with a view to delivering the remaining gaps in the project
  • Design the delivery schedule in line with other business change tasks
  • Design and implement new business processes in the data mapping and data recording spaces, which are compliant with GDPR
  • Contribute to the internal policies and procedures to champion a more information governance and Data Protection oriented culture

  • C# Developer
    Up to £650 per day

    The Role

    The candidate will be responsible development of new features and maintenance for our server side pricing, aggregation, control and contributions platforms using a variety of programming languages and development environments. In particular, the candidate will be developing predominantly in C and C# with some Java as well.

    The successful candidate must be able to operate at a high level and produce results with a quick turn around on key deliverables.

    Candidates must have:

    • Extensive project management experience within banking.
    • Previous experience on delivering lending based projects are highly desirable.
