Up to £500 per day

Data Science Systems Analyst - London or Leeds - 3 month contract

The role will suit an experienced analyst who can quickly assimilate information and translate that knowledge to systems that meet business needs. It would also be beneficial if the postholder has knowledge of public sector contracts and/or commercial analytics.

The postholder will have the opportunity to engage with senior stakeholders across the department, representing high-profile project boards. The postholder must be confident to engage with a broad range of stakeholders (including finance and commercial colleagues), link up disparate work streams across the various analytical teams in the Department, and provide robust challenge to senior customers.

Key responsibilities
• Maintaining and developing innovative tools to collect and report on the department’s highest value and riskiest contracts via the ‘Gold scorecard’ process.
• Programming in analytical languages, such as R, Python and SQL, to generate user interfaces and data visualisations using tools such as RShiny.
• Developing new systems and tools to capture commercial data, particularly the value for money assessment tool in production.
• Producing robust, reproducible analysis and collaborating with other analysts.
• Working closely with the team and commercial partners to translate business needs into useable tools and reports.
• Simplifying complex technical concepts, educate and inform others by communicating theses clearly to both technical and non-technical experts.
• Championing analytical quality assurance best practices.

Essential Skills
• Experience of using R and SQL.
• Excellent written and verbal skills, particularly in the articulation of analytical arguments in making a case.
• Developing and managing relations with stakeholders to represent the team and build confidence in our work.
• Ability to see the bigger picture for commercial analytics.
• Good organisational and project management skills.
• Knowledge of best practice model design and analytical quality assurance.
Desirable Skills
• Knowledge of the Outsourcing Playbook and the tendering process in the public sector.
• Supplier markets knowledge.
• Experience of using RShiny and/or Python.

    They are scaling rapidly and looking for Cloud Support Engineers on a permanent basis.

    As a Cloud Engineer, You will be supporting channel availability on a 24x7 basis for the cloud-native technology platform for one of their dedicated lines of business.

    As this is a Cloud Support Engineer position, day to day, you will be expected to -

    The company are expanding their cloud division and looking for DevOps Engineers to be part of their journey.

    As a DevOps Engineer, You will design and build cutting-edge infrastructure, cloud-based software products running on AWS (Amazon Web Services). You will also need knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform.

    The responsibilities

    • building and setting up new development tools and AWS infrastructure.
    • understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developers.
    • working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
    • testing and examining code written by others and analysing results.
    • Work closely with key stakeholders to capture, analyze, and derive DevOps requirements
    • Implement and stay abreast of Cloud and DevOps industry best practices and tooling

    • Any certificates in AWS (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator)
