Data Support Engineer

The Data Support Engineer, part of the dynamic Data Technology Operations team, will be involved in leading the way in many areas of technology, from delivery daily business reports, to providing an elite data science and analytics platform for hundreds of users. The Technology Operations team support these solutions throughout the whole business to an impeccably high standard 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

What you will be doing:

  • Handle the on-going support of business applications and processes developed and supported by the Technology team.
  • Incident management and resolution, engaging with 3rd parties to ensure speedy resolution of issues and plan future releases.
  • Participate in Change Management processes and analyze the impact of change requests for both large scale projects and small changes.
  • Be proactive in service improvements across multiple systems and technologies.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of Database Management Systems
  • Knowledge and/or experience of any industry standard ETL tool
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that can be used to explain technical concepts.
  • Previous experience with Big Data/Scripting tools would be highly advantageous, but not essential.
