Deputy Company Secretary

As the Deputy Company Secretary you will:

Work alongside the Group Company Secretary and other company secretarial specialists, to enable the group and their subsidiaries to deliver upon the commercial, customer objectives and priorities by ensuring the following:

  • Company corporate governance & secretariat services are delivered as required.
  • Supporting the business including corporate statutory compliance activities, shareholder and board actions, development and maintenance of the corporate governance framework, processes, procedures, databases and know-how.

This position would be ideal for the following individual:

  • A passionate Company Secretarial professional who is currently supporting the Group Company Secretary in a multinational environment.
  • Someone either based in the UAE, other GCC countries or someone based outside the region with a serious interest in relocating to the Middle East.
  • A passionate individual that is willing to face challenging situations and be part of a great institution that is going through a very exciting time in their growth within the region.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • You must have a Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Company Secretarial & governance specialist position, from a Multinational environment.
  • ICSA Qualified Chartered Secretary (ICSA) or a Law Graduate.
  • Well versed in company secretarial and corporate governance regulatory process and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge & understanding of Corporate Laws and the relevant implementation regulations.
  • Sound knowledge in international Corporate Governance Codes, Guidelines & global best practices (UK Corporate Governance Code, BASEL III, OECD, etc.…).
  • You are also expected to have a reasonable exposure of the following skills : advising, establishing and winding different types of legal entities/SPVs across the global well-known jurisdictions.

    Skills and experience required:

    • Strong experience managing and leading helpdesk and technical desktop support teams, across multiple geographical locations.
    • Strong vendor management experience involving on-shore / off-shore end user technical support models
    • Good technical knowledge of supporting, deploying and managing Microsoft desktop operating systems, desktop applications and monitoring/management tools preferably in a Citrix VDI environment.
