Global Financial Technology Firm seek a Director Level Development Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience of managing the delivery of large-scale Java technology platforms with AWS, Azure, GCS and Cloud tech to a globally distributed user base.
Due to an increase in demand and a growing revenue stream the role will and with project pipeline well into 2021. Plenty of scope for career development. This role will partner with product and proposition management, and architecture to ensure alignment with the technical and business strategy. Provide thought leadership in the area of cloud, AI/ML and analytics.
Key responsibilities:
Leading development of the assigned platform and services. Manage and delivery software development in order to meet ongoing business needs.
Ensuring high levels of service, quality, security and performance are consistently met. Where necessary, target debt in these areas and prioritise appropriately alongside feature delivery
Driving innovation and new technology adoption. Manage budgets and cost control. Provide technical leadership in design decision. Use and enhance existing development frameworks utilising TDD and Agile methodologies.
Degree level qualification, preferably in Computer Science or related field. Proven experience managing large scale global systems and teams. Experience with Java, and Cloud technologies. Programming ability or technical background.

You will focus on the high availability of mission-critical services including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Build and Deploy, Research and Trading; supporting globally distributed services across APAC, EMEA and AMER regions.
It is essential that you have a strong working knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes.
