I am currently looking for an experienced eCommerce Applications Support Analyst (Windows/ IIS Web Applications) to join a top financial organisation based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.


Principal duties and responsibilities:

Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for the banks’ application suite

Troubleshooting any issues that arise and implement fixes as required

Provide assistance to other IT support teams for issues

Trend recurring incidents and provide suitable long term solutions

Work closely with the Database Administrators and Storage teams in relation to incidents, capacity management & service improvements

Technical liaison with vendors as required

Provide on-call support on a regular basis, working in a shift pattern

Essential skills/experience:

Experienced Application Support Analyst

Windows Enterprise Operating Systems (Windows 2003 and above)

Managing web applications (IIS/Application Server Roles)
Automation experience (Powershell)

Networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).

Database connection methods (Oracle, SQL)

Supporting web-based applications

Contract

£400- £475 per day

    Information Security Officer required to provide security expertise and guidance to key Security Programme which includes a number of projects as part of the organisations cyber strategy.

    The role will include input into the requirements and designs working with internal security teams and external parties to put in place agreed solutions to meet the aims of the programme.     Python Software Engineer, VP (Cross Training Considered) - Greenfield Risk Engine - Tier 1 Investment Bank - up to £130k plus bonus

    An experienced Python software engineer, VP, is required to join a market leading tier one investment bank in London. The particular platform deals with risk calculations for Traders, Quants and Sales teams across the bank and is undegoing a huge re-generation project, which will involve a lot of greenfield work.

    Given the experience level required for the role, the succesful Python software engineer will be expected to actively engage in decisions around; design, architecture and the future direction of the Risk Engine and the team supporting it. The role will involve both BAU and the ability to innovatively work on the development of Greenfield ideas and solutions.

    If succesful the VP Python Software Engineer can expect to recieve £90k - £130k base plus package and healthy bonus

I am currently looking for an experienced Front Office Support Analyst to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

The candidate will collaborate in the support and maintenance of front office risk systems responsible for producing the risks that trading desks use for hedging, for risk management and regulatory reporting. The candidate will face the business directly and interact with traders, quants and the technology department on daily basis. Gathering evidence from servers (Linux, Windows), log files, databases (MSSQL) are involved in the day to day work. The ideal candidate is strong communicator, with meticulous attention to detail and proven experience using Linux, SQL and scripting.

Skills and experience:

Principal duties and responsibilities:

Provide Application Production support for Trade Processing > Tier1) applications (FOCUS, CLIENTCLEARING).

Log and maintain Incident/Request tickets by ensuring data quality that can be used by management for metrics.

Monitor production environments and resolve any application / production issues keeping the team, business and mgt informed.

Write Production scripts to automate data extracts, frequently seen issues using tools like AUTOSYS and document them on wiki.

Analyze and Produce Requirement gathering and Functional specification for Middle office Operational processes.

Experience Required:

Excellent problem analysis and Investigation skills and a can do attitude.

Good understanding of Full trade lifecycle and Front-to-back Transversal Trade processing workflows.

Prior exposure and familiarity to vendor (Murex, ICE, Markitwire) and clearing workflows is a huge plus.

Experience working on front office application support for top bank.

Computing Skills Required:

Knowledge and expertise in RDBMS (Oracle or/and Sybase).

Strong PL/SQL skills, ability to write complex, advanced joins, SQL cursors, and triggers.

Ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of prior Coding/Testing /Application Support experience.

Infrastructure – Good Understanding/Exposure to (Windows server 2012 /Linux/UNIX).

Ability to read, debug and understand C or C# code.
