My client, a Financial Services organisation based in Edinburgh, are looking for a Privacy Manager to join their Technology division.

The successful candidate will provide subject matter expertise for Privacy & Client Confidentiality policy, legislation and regulation.

You will understand the implications and impact for Services of the new European Union General Data Protection Regulation, to be implemented by Q2 2018.

Your deliverables will be

  • to support the build, implementation and management of the regulatory, conduct and control framework, facilitating adherence to regulation and policy and challenging the business unit executive on its effective implementation.
  • develop regulatory risk opinion and recommendations to support ongoing improvements to business compliance and the regulatory risk profile.
  • Ensure business adherence with generic regulation enforced by the FCA and PRA
  • Support the build, implementation and management of the regulatory, conduct and control framework, facilitating adherence to regulation and policy and challenging the business unit executive on its effective implementation.
  • Develop regulatory risk opinion and recommendations to support ongoing improvements to business compliance and the regulatory risk profile.
  • Ensure regulation and P&CC policy compliance by supporting the Policy Implementation Responsible Lead (PIRL) and Accountable Executive (AE) in discharging the responsibilities of their roles.
  • To nurture effective relationships with stakeholders including Legal, Risk, Internal Audit and Policy Owner to support the timely, effective and efficient delivery of all issues, projects and initiatives.

Duration: 6 months

Location: Edinburgh

Rate: Up to £410/day dependent on experience

    • Strong understanding and proven track record of the management of conduct risk, ideally within a digital context
    • Demonstrate a basic understanding of how financial technology is affecting our business, and how this will result in new and emerging risks, innovative opportunities and threats
    • Strong knowledge of Risk And Control Functions

    • Strong experience as a BAPM, or ex-Software Developer with relevant experience in a financial markets environment

    Java Fixed Income E Trading Developer – Greenfield Pricing – VP up to £125k

    Role Overview:

    An experienced core java developer is required to join a rapidly expanding Fixed Income e trading team in London. The role will involve a greenfield re-architecture of their pricing platform as well as other functionality. Given the seniority of the role you will be expected to play an active role in discussions around design and architecture, as well as having the opportunity to provide technical leadership. The role will also provide extensive exposure to the front office/trading, where you will have the opportunity to work directly with the Quants on their pricing models.

    The successful candidate can look to receive between £100k and £125k, plus benefits and bonus.

    Requirements Summary:

    • Strong core java developer
    • Multi-threading, performance tuning, Python
    • Strong communication skills
    • Experience within the front office highly desirable
    • Strong academics (Comp Sci or Maths preferred)
