Mcgregor Boyall are actively looking for an experienced Senior Technical Delivery Manager - Unix/Linux to join a prestigious client in Edinburgh on a permanent basis.

As part of Infrastructure Technology Services, the Platform Technology function will be the primary agent for creating and then managing a future Cloud capability and the associated eco-system of future service partners.
Within Platform Technology, the Senior Technical Delivery Manager is accountable for the end-to-end business service of a designated, complex Infrastructure Technology platform, or combination of platforms.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering live Service to agreed service levels and costs
  • Owning and driving the strategy for the platform infrastructure working collaboratively with internal and external service providers
  • Driving year on year improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of the platform
  • Driving maximum value from the suppliers in terms of both service and cost at a measured risk profile
  • Ensuring robust management of business risk in line with the company policy and risk appetite
  • Managing the business relationship with the wider Group IT


Skills Required:

  • Proven experience in managing the operational delivery and governance of managed services, including some understanding of cloud service delivery in large, complex organisations (ideally in the financial services sector)
  • Deep knowledge of, and experience in managing infrastructure service
  • Proven ability to develop and implement transformational change (structure, process and service)

    You will play a key role in delivering exceptional marketing and communications campaigns, working closely with the Nordic area of the business.

    You will be responsible for delivering and executing the marketing plan locally, in line with the Global objectives and goals.

    • Responsible for the development and management of marketing campaigns for a local audience (email, social, web etc)
    • Localise and implement EMEA/Global marketing plans and campaigns
    • Work closely with the translators and the digital marketing team to update / improve company website
    • Work on multichannel marketing campaigns collaborating with central marketing teams
    • Work on the planning and execution of further marketing activities including events, media etc.

    Skills

I am working with a key player in their respective industry who are looking for an Enterprise Governance Architect to take on a leading position within a core business strategy function, as they enter a period of continued development and review of their high-level business strategy. As the Enterprise Governance Architect, you will be required to carry out and take ownership of a range of tasks and responsibilities in the business area, and bring a solid understanding of technical environments.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Educated to Bachelor’s Degree level in a relevant discipline such as Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science or similar, or equivalent qualifications and demonstrable work experience
  • At least 10 years working in Enterprise Governance Architect roles or comparable positions
  • Experience in Enterprise Governance Architect/governance and controls positions within large, complex financial services environments
  • Strong skills coordinating governance forums and steering committees, with the objective of reviewing and redesigning governance audits, and technical governance and control frameworks
  • Strong skills and demonstrable experience of liaising with C-level executives and board members to take into consideration the needs of all parties, and influence high level business strategy

Within Platform Technology, the Senior Cloud Service Manager is the delivery owner accountable for the end-to-end business service of the Cloud Platform with specific focus on the Unix/Linux infrastructure components. They are the Bank's primary operational (day-day) contact with the infrastructure platform service provider for the Cloud service, responsible for providing effective leadership for the business, maximizing the outputs and quality of this critical IT capability to meet the needs of our customers. The role requires the ability to inspire and develop a large virtual network of Bank and/or Partner IT professionals and maximize the potential of people, teams and systems to achieve efficiency, effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
