Emergency Planning Officer (Business Resilience Officer)

£36500 - £37500 per annum

My client is a governing body that is seeking a Emergency Planning Officer (Business Resilience Officer) to formulate emergency plans and supporting documents and use your outstanding communication and presentation skills to prepare and deliver training and exercises, draft plans and guidance and write papers and briefings for staff and groups at all levels. You will have a working knowledge of business resilience and related legislation such as the Civil Contingencies Act 2004. As a confident self-starter you will be able to work under pressure, remaining organized and focused on the delivery of high quality work across a range of activities alongside the rest of the team.

The successful candidate will have the following skills/experience:

  • Able to accommodate suddenly arising / unexpected workloads whilst ensuring continued delivery of routine work.
  • Takes the initiative, bringing forward new ideas to create or improve systems, guidance or ways of working / to spot a gap in existing systems or guidance and propose how to address it.
  • Able to work with difficult or challenging partners, stakeholders or customers whilst upholding the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion.; effectively influencing to gain buy-in for required action
  • Degree level qualification (need not be emergency planning specifically).
  • Experience in an emergency planning role in public or private sector.

    The exciting start-up company are looking to expand. They are designing cutting edge technologies, which consist of medical imaging. They design software packages which analyse patient’s health using MRI/CT and Ultrasound.

    The company are helping people to diagnose cardiovascular problems such as strokes and possible heart attacks much earlier on through the cutting-edge technology they have designed.

    The Role:

    • Utilising various machine learning techniques to help enhance the product
    • Preferred coding languages are Python and R
    • Working with emerging technologies such as Tensorflow would be desirable
    • Will entail an individual who is willing to research, to enhance an understanding of medical image processing

    Experience:

    • A Masters' level degree or above in a relevant discipline
    • Extensive experience in deep learning and machine learning
    • Commercial experience in modeling and delivering image processing applications for medical purposes
    • Willing to be part of a small team and grow with the company
