Engineering Facilities Manager

£60000 - £65000 per annum

My client is seeking an Engineering Facilities Manager on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of all engineering services to the organisation’s property portfolio and, in particular, provide a safe and secure operating environment for all building occupants by ensuring that the buildings are maintained to a high standard, operate effectively and comply with all current legislation.

The Engineering Facilities Manager will manage, control and authorise all activities undertaken on the high voltage (HV) networks and ensure the incumbent maintenance contractor has suitably trained staff to undertake the operation and maintenance of the HV network.

Key Duties

  • Negotiate and procure both engineering and utility service contracts based upon best practice principles, with an understanding and working knowledge of performance measurement techniques within the current market.
  • Responsibility for the maintenance, repair and renewal of all electro- mechanical systems and building fabric.
  • Manage and forecast engineering and utility budgets maintaining effective control on costs and, where possible, pro-actively demonstrate cost savings.
  • Monitor changes in legalisation and building regulation, ensuring the buildings remain compliant.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree or HNC/HND Level
  • Extensive experience in a similar role
  • Possess a health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH, or as a minimum IOSH.
  • Project management-related qualification (APMP, PMP, PRINCE2)

Experience & Key Skills

  • Experience of managing mission critical data centre environments
  • Have previously worked on, and have a technical understanding and operational knowledge of, HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure together with HV networks and BMS control system. HV authorisation will be a requirement of the role together with good problem-solving and analytical skills.

    £55000 - £85000 per annum bonus

    Python/Java Machine Learning/AI Developer - London based Brokerage - up to £85k

    Python/Java Developer required to work on the next generation of artificial intelligence(AI)/machine learning technology at a leading financial services brokerage in London. The team operate like a fintech within the organisation, focussing on creating cutting edge technical solutions within a collaborative and innovative environment, much of the work is greenfield.

    As a Python/Java Developer within this team you will also have extensive exposure to; Cloud AWS, javascript with react and openfin applications. This is an expanding team with a lot of investment being invested into their development with the AI/machine learning space too. The role will also give a strong Python/Java technologist exposure to the financial services market and provide an understanding of how large transactions are carried out and processed.

    The successful Python/Java Developer can look to receive between £55,000 and £85,000 base, plus a healthy package and bonus.

    Requirements:

    • Commercial Python or Java development experience

  • C Quant/Strats Developer - Equities Trading - Associate/VP
    £70000 - £120000 per annum bonus

    C Quant/Strats Developer required - Associate/VP - Equities Trading - Business Reporting - £70k-£120k

    A market leading Quant/Strats team at a tier one investment bank require an exceptional C developer, ideally with some experience of Python to join their Equities Trading team. The team themselves work on the Equities Trading quantitative models and report dsirectly into the business. The role will provide the platform for a strong technologist and mathematician, to face off to Quants and Traders and work closely with them to implement cutting edge C models/solutions.

    This team require both exceptional technological skills (C on Windows) and mathematical/problem solving abilities (PhD in Mathematics or related subject highly desirable). Also a strong understanding of Derivative products, ideally Equities required.

    The succesful candidate can look to recieve between £70,000 and £120,000 base salary, either Associate or VP level (dependant on experience)

    This will also be backed by a bonus and package funded by the trading desk themselves.
