Enterprise Architect- SCV, CRM, Digital, Technical Architecture, Compliance, Business Systems, B2C, Data Security, Microservices, Cloud- Permanent- Birmingham

I am working with a highly successful e-commerce client, who are engaging in an ambitious growth strategy to be a market leading, digital disruptor in their sector. They are currently looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to join the business, as they grow out their technological estate to support increased traffic and data to all their user platforms. The Enterprise Architect will play a key role in championing best practice to deliver a rich environment across a number of different business areas, balancing both compliance and excellence.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • At least 3 years working in an Enterprise Architect position, with similar technical focus
  • Previous experience working on SCV (Single Customer View), digital transformation or data oriented projects, coordinating the design and implementation of new business systems and data architectures
  • Strong knowledge of gathering requirements from a range of business focused stakeholders, including Marketing, Sales, Finance etc, and using these to define, design and implement new architectural plans
  • Solid experience taking ownership of defining and designing the strategic roadmaps for different areas, including both technical and non-technical requirements
  • Strong technical background and understanding of TDD, microservice architecture, SQL Server, NoSQL, and cloud based (Azure) technologies

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Take full responsibility for your workload as the Enterprise Architect, and deliver outstanding strategies within the required time frame
  • Develop strong relationships with and an understanding of the technical and non-technical business areas your strategies will underpin
  • Translate thoughts and ideas into excellent strategies to support the development of the technical and non-technical environments in the business
  • Create a new, long term strategy around the development, implementation and continuous improvement of a digital transformation programme with SCV system, including data structures and MI reporting tools
  • Define the ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ states of the technical architecture landscape
  • Work with wider business areas (ie, Marketing, Sales, Finance) to understand their technical requirements, and ensure the technical road map will address these from a tactical and strategic perspective

    My client is an investment bank in London and is investing heavily in their core banking platform which covers Equities, Fixed income & FX, as well as Research. They have around 30 positions ranging across AVP and VP hires.

    Their platform is Java based, but as they have 30 projects on the go, some are full stack, or more orientated around web/UI technologies such as; Angular JS, JS, React, HTML, J2EE, and some Python. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies such as Kotlin and Erlang and be involved in projects that are heavily relied on by the business and stakeholders.
