You will work alongside ESG thematic researchers and our Responsible Investment and Stewardship and Corporate Social Responsibility teams, and engage in the strategic build-out of the cleints ESG data and analytics capabilities to bring cutting-edge data solutions to their ESG strategic goals, including the support of quant-driven RI strategies as well as discretionary RI portfolios.

Essential skills and experience

  • Passion for, and interest in ESG related issues and trends
  • Experience working with difficult or sparse datasets, including evidence of aggregating key performance indicators for both tracking, measuring and reporting
  • Strong academic record and higher education degree with high mathematical and computing content e.g. computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or another disciplines involving technical and quantitative analysis techniques.
  • Proven experience and fluency with data analysis techniques in Python & SQL preferred
  • Exposure to sustainability and ESG datasets and reporting
  • Previous experience with reporting and visualisation, preferably using python, and creating technical solutions for operation and data related tasks/processes.
  • Demonstrate evidence of strong analytical and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Financial industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-organised with the ability to effectively manage time across multiple projects and with competing business demands and priorities.

  • Senior Platform Services Analyst

    Senior Platform Services Analyst – London – Hybrid


    A Global Financial Services provider working at the heart of the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets covering FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Energy & Commodities are looking for a Senior Platform Services Analyst to join their team in London.
    Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.


    Responsibilities:

    • Working within a shift rota to provide support coverage from 7am – 6pm
    • Contribute towards ‘follow the sun’ support model, working closely with global teams in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for each region
    • Perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all members are connected to the platform
    • Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal users, escalating to Development teams appropriately
    • Daily interaction with all internal stakeholders with regards to support issues
    • Efficiently create and track issues within an incident-management system to help identify trends and patterns
    • Create and monitor internal reports and usage queries
    • Assist with product testing and project work


    Skills:

    • At least 3 years hands-on support experience within a financial institution (buy-side, sell-side, venue/platform provider)
    • Proven experience of MSSQL, Oracle and Sybase database environments, including complex query-writing
    • Solid application support experience within a Unix / Linux environment
    • Good working knowledge of the FIX protocol
    • Proven experience of supporting Windows Server environments
    • Experience in troubleshooting network problems: i.e. firewall and routing problems
    • Good understanding of international Equity market mechanics and flows


    Desirable:

    • Exposure to supporting message-based architecture
    • Working knowledge of at least one buy-side or sell-side Order Management System

    Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.


    Responsibilities:

    • Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal trade desks, escalating to development teams appropriately
    • Fulfilling client customisation requests within algorithmic trading systems and MTF platform
    • Troubleshooting and analysis of order routing and trade flow and post-trade issues
    • Managing team chats, queues, and mailboxes to ensure requests are being actioned in a timely manner with appropriate prioritization
    • Ensuring incident and problem management procedures are followed and performing analysis to determine trends and patterns
    • Assist with product testing and project work
    • Working within a shift rota to provide support coverage from 7am – 6pm
