Front Office Support Analyst- UNIX- Banking- London- Contract

£500 - £550 per day

I am currently looking for an experienced Front Office Support Analyst to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

The candidate will collaborate in the support and maintenance of front office risk systems responsible for producing the risks that trading desks use for hedging, for risk management and regulatory reporting. The candidate will face the business directly and interact with traders, quants and the technology department on daily basis. Gathering evidence from servers (Linux, Windows), log files, databases (MSSQL) are involved in the day to day work. The ideal candidate is strong communicator, with meticulous attention to detail and proven experience using Linux, SQL and scripting.

Skills and experience:

Experience designing and supporting front office systems.

Excellent skills using Linux through command line

Parsing/collating/filtering log files through standard Linux commands such as grep, sed etc. Regular expressions.

Reading/joining/filtering of data in relational database (preferably MS SQL Server)

Problem solving issues to include but not restricted to application errors, database errors, file system errors, network errors.

Scripting (Python, PowerShell or Bash)


Contract

£500-550 per day

6 months with scope to extend

I am currently looking for an experienced Oracle Financials Support Analyst to join a top investment bank based in London. The role will be a contract role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage inbound issues and problems raised by Finance on the matters concerning financial accounting in the GL and sub ledgers within the Oracle e-business suite
  • Analyse root cause and provide feedback to end users on status and progress

  • Demonstrable experience working with Oracle development tools such as Workflow & XML Publisher, etc.
  • Be familiar working business intelligence tools such as OBIEE, Discoverer, Business Objects, QlikView

Key responsibilities:


Support of the in house built applications providing authorisation services for bank applications
Provide day-to-day Production support
Operate as an individual contributor and in a team environment
Provide application support during Operating system patching
Co-ordinate and carry out the application releases across multiple environments
