GRC Specialist – Canary Wharf – Permanent

Job overview

A senior position within a well-established, highly regulated and world class FX business. You will lead the GRC function and be accountable for the Security team’s response to regulatory deliverables.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the Security response to regulatory deliverables, including examinations, continuous monitoring sessions, and responses to regulatory correspondence.
  • Serve as primary Security liaison to the Regulatory Affairs division; translate relevant directives, guidance, and rules into actionable data for consumption by the CISO and Information Security.
  • Actively manage and develop relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement as it concerns cyber Security, information sharing, and critical infrastructure protection.
  • Represent Security in financial sector-wide consortia, establishing stakeholder buy-in and representing the business’s interests, e.g., National Institutes for Standards and Technology (NIST), Financial Systemic Analysis and Resilience Center (FS-ARC), Financial Services - Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC), United States Treasury Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council (FSSCC), United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), etc..
  • Actively maintain and develop Security’s relationships with its counterparts at Designated Financial Market Utility (DFMU) partners.
  • Serve as the accountable individual for Internal Audit deliverables
  • Prepare and deliver Security briefings for consumption by Security teams, the CISO, the Executive Management Committee and the Board.

  • Extensive experience in a similar role
  • Experience working in a highly regulated and complex environment
  • Strong work ethic with focus on meeting deadlines and objectives
  • Ability to manage company wide, strategic projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members, and management
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Strong skills working with MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, MS Power Point

  • Financial Security Compliance Officer

    The role:

    The Financial Security Compliance Officer role will form part of the UK Compliance Department and will report directly to the Head of Financial Security Compliance.     • Provide the Business with guidance and advice in relation to all relevant rules and regulations, including but not limited to the UK Money Laundering Regulations, HMRC Guidance, RICS rules and regulations, the Estate Agents Act 1979 and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.
    • To apply a robust risk based approach when assessing CAC forms in order to arrive at a recommendation.

    Person Specification:

    • Previous experience working in a KYC/Customer on-boarding team within both the Real Estate and Banking sectors.
    • Proven track-record of applying a risk based approach towards all customer enquiries and issues.
    • Proven track-record and knowledge of analysing different Real Estate customer and transaction types, in particular in relation to Legal entities, Wealth structures and Special Purpose Vehicles.
    • Proven track record of analysing, clearing, and when required escalating, customer and transaction monitoring alerts.
    • Ability to provide advice and guidance to the Business in terms of the application of KYC rules and requirements.
    • Proven experience of Real Estate / KYC analysis.
    • Strong knowledge of all estate agency business rules and regulations, including but not limited to the UK Money Laundering Regulations, HMRC Guidance, RICS rules and regulations, the Estate Agents Act 1979 and Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008.

    Python AI Developer – London Start Up – Multiple Roles - £50k-£130k

    A rapidly expanding start up in London are looking to hire a number of python technologists to work on their artificial intelligence (AI) platform. Prior experience within the AI field is not essential, but it is highly beneficial to have a strong interest. As a strong Python technologist you should also be competent in one or more other programming languages (Java, Scala, Golang), as the team utilise and interact with a number of other systems.
