Head of DevOps / SRE

£148 - £177 per annum

The successful candidate will be instrumental in road mapping and executing the roll out of platform capabilities. As this hire will be the face of DevOps / SRE (Infrastructure) moving forward they must all be super passionate to constantly be exploring new technologies and how their adoption to the existing stack could benefit the business.

As this is still effectively a start-up this individual would still need to have that proven ability to be “hands-on” and never afraid to jump in to resolve any issues. The successful hire will take over an existing team of engineers but must also have experience in building and managing teams. This is a critical role for the business reporting straight into the CTO so it is important this person has a broad understanding across technology to be able to deliver secure networks, infrastructure, deployment practises and assist in the standard infosec goals of the business.

Key Technical Skills

The ideal candidate should have the following skills / background:

  • Experience working in both large scale MNC businesses as well as experience working in a Start-Up Environment (Must have)
  • Expert in cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP etc) – AWS highly preferred
  • You are seasoned in diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues
  • Broad experience in building CI/CD pipelines through the use of common stack (Jenkins, Git, VCS) (Gitops exposure desirable)
  • Advanced user in Linux based OS
  • Experienced in software network design and implementation
  • Experience with container run times such as Kubernetes (highly desirable)
  • Enjoys solving complex technical problems
  • Exposure to programming/scripting (Golang, Python, Bash)
  • Experience with broad cloud, monitoring, infra as code tech desirable (Datadog, Terraform etc..)
  • Familiarity with implementing InfoSec practices to ISO and industry standards desirable
  • CloaC style infra provisioning
  • Build of CI/CD Pipelines for service-based architectures

    Our client is a multinational organization who would like to add a data privacy/cybersecurity expert from a payments/cloud service provider background to assist with designing and delivering governance, risk and policy recommendations to the business.

    Role & responsibility

    • Researching, analysing and applying not only privacy policies, but infoSec and all related regulations, law, and standards. Providing gaps analysis, data protection advice, Information Security and Privacy issues for products and services.
    • Study trend of market regulation, law, and industry standards within the AsiaPac market
    • Design the compliance strategy for AsiaPac
    • Understand new product features and advise the risk of compliance.
    • Assist internal audit team to prepare external audit
    • Assist BD/CA team to face Customer audit/compliance questionnaires.

    Knowledge, skill and qualification:

    • Minimum 5 yrs experience in privacy protection.
    • Minimum 10 yrs experience of information security governance.
    • Professional certification in information security CIPP, CISA, PCI QSA.
    • Proven knowledge of risk and information security management standards, framework and methodologies, such as SoC, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, CSA and SoC
