Hugely well regarded Edinburgh business are currently seeking a talented, ambitious leader to head up this infrastructure and tech operations team. Working closely with the overall Head of Tech you will be heavily involved in setting and driving the delivery of the IT strategy. With a wide range of technical and people challenges at play this role will require a highly motivated, driven and nuanced individual to provide personal and technical leadership to a talented existing team.

Working with other department heads you will carry accountability for the financial budget management, operational & IT risk, IT Tech people agenda and a wide range of vendor and supplier management issues.

To succeed in this challenging role you will bring a track record of:-

  • Building high performing Infra / Tech teams with particular focus on availability and quality of services
  • Implementing a disciplined Vendor Management strategy across the department
  • Key involvement in transforming an existing IT function to a modern, innovative one
  • Passion for people strategy and aligning with overall function's goals

It's likely you'll have most of the following skills and experience:-

  • Successful background in managing multiple complex stakeholders to best outcomes
  • Proven technical and customer servicing ability
  • People management of a large Technical Infrastructure team
  • Budget planning / financial management
  • Major enterprise experience - ideally with some financial experience (although not essential)
  • IT Risk Management
  • Framework awareness (e.g. ITIL, CISSP, Agile, TOGAF)

    A government agency based in Brussels, Belgium is currently looking for a number of IT Project Manager on a contract basis. You will be working on a multi year digital programme that will involve you performing Business Process Reengineering activities to contribute to the optimisation of processes.

    Therefore it is essential that all applicants have IT Project Management and Business Process Reengineering experience. The client is also looking for someone with stron education credentials, with a Masters degree being the minimum requirement.

    On a day to day basis, you will be involved in -

    • Present proposals for project approach, scheduling, mission description as well as the project's finalisation, risk analysis and reporting, ensure the monitoring and organisation

    • Calculate the different costs of the project, monitor the schedule and the budget in order to avoid any extra costs so that the budget match the requested mission
