Head / Technical Lead of Product Engineering (Web/Mobile Apps)

£106495 - £130160 per annum Financial benefits (options etc)

The role requires (but is not limited) to the following criteria:

  • Collaborate on executing and delivering the implementation of high traffic / high availability Customer Facing Websites
  • Management of the existing team of product engineers as well as building out the expansion of this team across this region utilising a combination of direct hiring and contract vendor resources.
  • Contribute towards the architecture of products/applications built out to sit on top of the core platform.
  • Engage directly with the CTO and other C-Level company leaders to own and drive the relevance of current / upcoming technology trends to continuously evolve any customer facing products.

Key Technical Skills

The ideal candidate should have the following skills / background:

  • 10 Years of Commercial Experienced.
  • Full stack engineering experience using Java & JavaScript (ReactJS / Angular…)
  • Strong overall exposure and understanding across a wide range of frameworks and tools used across both front and backend development.
  • Proven experience in understanding / designing Microservices Architecture
  • Strong grasp and understanding across modern cloud stacks (AWS, Azure…) and DevOps processes and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes….)
  • Previous experience developing and owning consumer facing e-commerce technology / platforms. (Web / Mobile Web & Apps etc)
  • Natural interest and passion towards Programming / Technical Architecture.
  • Experience managing both Technical / Non-Technically Stakeholders up to the C-Level
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Financial Crime and Compliance Lead

    Compliance Officer and MLRO leading the Financial Crime and Compliance function for a Trade finance house in London with International officer.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Form the compliance function and manage the compliance risks of the Group globally.
    • Develop and maintain compliance policies, procedures and controls.
    • Evaluate compliance risks on transactions and propose solutions.
    • Monitor compliance with compliance policies and procedures.
    • Deliver training and updates on compliance matters to staff globally.
    • Remain abreast of compliance developments, advise Senior Management and with the MD implement the necessary procedures to ensure ongoing compliance.
    • Raise awareness of compliance risks and contribute to developing the culture.

    Our client is a well-regarded financial services organisation who are looking for a talented Pricing Manager to join the business.

    The post holder will have the opportunity to work as part of a small team and lead the implementation of the retail pricing strategy. The individual will need strong pricing experience covering pricing strategies, framework, pricing changes, pricing tools and pricing reviews. You will also build and maintain predictive models and hold ideally have experience of SAS, Emblem, Radar, Excel and advanced statistical techniques.

    Working in a regulated environment from the insurance space or retail financial services is essential.

    To be considered:

    • Demonstrable pricing management experience from Insurance. Consumer financial services considered
    • Significant experience with pricing strategies, reviews, frameworks, tools and changes

Job Responsibilities

This will be a very “hands on” technical role requiring the individual to act as a technical lead to help lead and build a team of around 10-15 engineers.

The role is with a global banking client but within a function tasked with building platforms for areas that run across the entire bank. Part of their new Digital Banking initiatives has seen the demand for building in-house platforms increase and the client is now looking at building out a platform which will act as an internal global “community” where centralised technical information can be accessed / shared across the organisation.

Please note this role requires no previous Banking / Financial Services experience but candidates should have worked on large-scale systems within their respective industry domains.

The role requires (but is not limited) to the following criteria:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Lead who can lead and build engineering teams (10+) as well as take ownership with experience managing global stakeholders up to the C level
  • Must possess “Hands on” Technical ability & still maintain a passion to code.
  • Contribute towards the overall design and architecture of the platform.
  • Engage directly with C-Level stakeholder with an ability to own and drive the relevance of current / upcoming technology trends to continuously evolve this “community”.
