HR Business Partner

£440 - £460 per day

I am seeking an HR Business Partner on behalf of my client, a large global matrix organisation. The HR Business Partner provides primary management support to the HR Director, CFO and their team to ensure that the agenda runs smoothly and efficiently, including co-ordination of briefings and reporting, management of engagement and preparation of materials and information to support these.

You will have the opportunity to shape the people agenda across the CFO portfolio. It will provide a great range of experiences and networking opportunities. Act as HR Business Partner and Integrator across all areas of the portfolio including Group Finance, Tax, Treasury, M&A, Audit, Global Business Services, IT&S, and Investor Relations. The HRBP will operate as a member of the HR leadership team. It is a global role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage support for the HRD CFO in day-to-day activities, monitoring and prioritising delivery of actions and initiatives.
  • Support the agenda through the coordination of meetings/events as required. This will involve the proactive development of agendas, briefing materials, presentations and communications materials, ensuring that actions and plans are clearly recorded and that delivery is monitored.
  • Lead or manage specific projects and studies. This includes working with broader HR leadership team and the HR CoEs.
  • Act as integrator of the CFO teams seeking out shared agenda items and opportunities to connect the teams through bi-monthly calls
  • Plan for and execute CFO HR forums as required by the HRD in support of the Finance capability agenda and Functions strategy projects
  • Act as a focal point for the CFO HR Leads for ad hoc queries
  • Manage compilation of action plans or common measures across CFO to continuously improve employee engagement and retention
  • Manage HR approvals from the CFO teams ensuring completeness of requests, adherence to the appropriate DOAs and effective tracking and feedback on requests
  • Support and lead grievance and disciplinary processes, including execution of investigations, as needed
  • Act as the SPA for ER related items arising from the CFO teams particularly those logged in the CMS, ensuring that all are being progressed
  • Act as a point of contact for the HRD CFO for other ad-hoc requests, providing advice and guidance.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Proven track record in operating as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability and record in leading projects and managing complexity across a matrix organisation
  • Experience of working in a relevant functional setting, in particular with the signature HR processes of Talent, Performance, Resourcing and Reward
  • Demonstrated track record of strong performance, with the ability to support and drive business change
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills. To be successful in this role, the post holder is required to build and develop strong relationships and networks throughout the portfolio.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving ability
  • Initiative, excellent communication skills, both oral & written, and strong analytical skills.
  • High personal standards of work. A combination of tactical as well as strategic ability is required, as well as an exemplary level of personal integrity.
  • Recognised team player who is self-motivated and also able to work independently.

  • Standard Chartered - Java Developer - Risk - Contract

    Key Roles & Responsibilities


    • Experienced developers with previous experience in the end-to-end design, development and support of risk management systems

    • Ability to work and liaise directly with the Front Office, Middle Office, Product Control and various risk functions

    • Familiarity and confidence working in an agile development environment

    • Data and compute grid experience a plus

    • Functional programming experience a plus

    • Responsible for the full development lifecycle for implementing the Bank’s risk management system.

    • Interact with the business users to gather the requirements

    • Design smart and scalable solutions following the bank standards



    • Write efficient, clean code and be able to articulate what has been implemented and explain as to why.


    Qualification & Skills

    Technical skills:

    • 8 years hands on development with investment banking IT experience
    • Java (essential), SCALA/Haskell is an advantage
    • Oracle development background, RAC is a plus.
    • Development experience on functional language, such as Haskell, is a strong plus.
    • SCRUM and Agile.


    General:

    • Strong architectural and engineering background with experience of delivery.
    • Strong Java and Oracle skills.
    • Strong knowledge and previous experience in end-to-end design, development and subsequent support of large scale data processing systems built on Oracle.
    • Familiarity and confidence working in an “agile” development environment.
    • Who can drive / facilitate the requirements and development effort with the business.

  • GDPR Compliance Delivery Manager
    £52000 - £53000 per annum

    Our client, a national savings bank, is looking for a GDPR Compliance Delivery Manager to join their organisation. It is a 6-month fixed term contract based in London. They are able to offer £52,000 per annum pro rata for the 6 months.

    The role is responsible for overseeing and managing all data controller responsibilities surrounding GDPR, ensuring all compliance and mitigating risk by ensuring they are uncovered by the risk policy owners. You will be working closely with the organisation B2B Compliance Manager to ensure any GDPR work is compliant with rules set by the organisation and other laws.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborating and coordination with the DPO and B2B Compliance Manager to create and maintain a new data protection strategy and legal framework This will be achieved by working with Clients to determine arrangements to ensure all procedures and provisions meet compliance standards.
    • Provide a monthly report to the DPO outlining any issues regarding GDPR compliance across the business
    • Act as business Manager whilst implementing the joint data controller requirements that fall within GDPR
    • Oversee documentation surrounding GDPR including the drafting of any technical clauses such as Data Sharing Agreements. Maintain and amend manuals and staff training to ensure it is up to date with data protection laws.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Data Protection qualified and proven extensive working experience within data protection
    • Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory matters
    • Experience with analysis of documentation and data including, creating policies and procedures by reviewing analysing and translating analysing legislation, and industry consultation papers.
    • Strong privacy law knowledge and implementation of data protection/information rights within a financial services organisation.
    • A good understanding of joint data controller responsibilities following strict data protections rules
    • General law knowledge and working experience
    • Any financial services and ICA advanced qualifications are desired but not necessary
