HR Business Partner

Up to £400 per day

My client is a global oil & gas firm seeking an experienced HRBP to shape and lead the people and talent agenda for Southern Europe and South Africa. The main challenges faced are operate in a multi-country environment, understanding the legislative and employment frameworks, including Works Councils requirements and collective bargaining agreements in each of the countries. Delivering the HR agenda within these boundaries is a key challenge. Stakeholder management of country HR teams to ensure the HR agenda is understood and delivered.

Typically working with the Leadership team on Talent, Performance Management, Resourcing, working with countries like Hungary, liaising with colleagues in the Middle East, very often you’re not doing all of the HR work, you’re managing HR stakeholders in countries that do it on your behalf which we call host HR

  • D&I: Embed the 2018 D&I agenda across organisation, supporting the business D&I Champion in the ongoing development and performance management of the annual plan.
  • Talent Management: Drive consistency of approach in attracting, managing and developing talent in support of “growing our core and creating our future business”.

Experience & Skills

  • Relevant BF HR experience gained in a large complex organisation with multiple stakeholders, including matrix relationships.
  • Demonstrable experience of operating and performing in a business partner model, working with senior managers to create positive business outcomes
  • Communicates, challenges and influences a variety of stakeholders with an ability to build constructive relationships in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Systematic approach to problem solving and able to convert proposals and ideas into a practical reality.
  • Adaptable to changing business needs and understand commercial drivers.
  • Knowledge of current thinking in HR themes and trends with evidence of Continuing Professional Development
  • Done a pay review, can pull together slide packs on performance in relation to D&I
  • Excel (to assist with analysis)

  • Insurance Technician
    £40000 - £50000 per annum

    A role within the support team of a global reinsurance firm. This position will take repsonsibility for servicing Broker / Cedant accounts, ensuring accounts are booked and paid in a timely manner.

    Other duties will include analytical work, as well as more ad hoc tasks.

    Job Description:

    • Processing & validation of complex Assumed and Ceded Treaties and Facultative covers, checking Profit Commissions, Sliding Scales etc ensuring accuracy and continuity with cedant accounting
    • Calculation and analysis of quarterly premium accruals / earned premium, assisting in quarterly management reporting and attendance at actuarial review meetings
    • Production of monthly Terms of Trade and Premium Adjustment reports and monitoring responses
    • Reconciliation of assumed/ceded reinsurance ledgers
    • Raising and processing of payments/receipts onto internal systems
    • Investigating and resolving internal and external accounting and audit
    • Monitor cash/unapplied cash, outstanding accounts and conduct effective credit control activities in maintaining unsettled balances
    • Communicating effectively with all departments, branches and stakeholders
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with brokers, cedant’s and reinsurers to ensure business continuity
    • Various ad-hoc projects as required

    Skills & Experience Required:

    • Good A Level grades, particularly in Maths and English
    • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Competence with Microsoft Office tools

  • Market Data Systems Engineer
    £65000 - £75000 per annum

    Market Data Systems Engineer - TREP - DACS - Linux - London

    An exciting opportunity has arisen fora Market Data Systems Engineer to join a financial services client in London. This role is responsible for Design, Installation, Configuration, Administration, Maintenance and support of Market Data Distribution System and migration of the real-time price feeds to the new system.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Design, installation and configuration of external TREP
    • Deploy ITRS monitoring system and collect critical metrics.
    • Develop transition plan to migrate systems to the new technology bus
    • Periodic review of latency metrics and load on price feed aggregation and distribution layers
    • Create weekly and monthly reporting of critical metrics
    • Investigate cases of extreme load.
    • Resiliency and load testing of the price distribution bus
    • DACS configuration, administration and permissions reporting

    Skills and Experience required:

    • Advanced knowledge of TREP and configuration
    • RHEL administration
    • Experience in producing critical metrics
    • Experience working in in regulated companies
    • Linux OS and Hardware tuning
    • DACS configuration and administration

    £55000 - £60000 per annum

    My leading investment bank is looking to bring on an AVP Category Manager with a strong background supporting IT Categories.

    Candidates must have:

    • Strong procurement experience within major global organisations.
    • Highly beneficial to have experience within IT procurement.
    • Be able to deliver IT Procurement strategies and plans to hit targets. (Fintech experience is advantageous)
    • Previous background working within a regulated experience (i.e Banking or Pharma).
    • Ability to form relationships with senior stakeholders
