Seeking an HR Manager for a 6 month fixed term contract with immediate availability to support a financial services institution supporting the HR business function. The role will support on all aspects of the HR life cycle and requires someone who is able to navigate a complex, matrix global organisation.

Critical responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the key point of contact for employees and line managers, to proactively deal with enquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Supporting the Senior HR Business Partners to run cyclical HR activities for annual processes such as talent reviews, the annual compensation review cycle and salary benchmarking exercise, and the quarterly promotion cycle
  • Assisting with employee relations issues through to resolution, engaging with managers to promptly address issues in a timely manner and contribute to and lead the HR components of change management and restructuring initiatives
  • Working with the HRBP team to embed key Employee Experience Programmes, employee value proposition, support the Diversity and Inclusion agenda and assist in the preparation, communication and updates from the annual employee survey

Core skills require:

  • Experience of having worked in a complex, global matrix environment as an HR Generalist within financial services. Prior experience supporting HR advantageous but not essential
  • CIPD Qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Have a customer focus and positive attitude; Solutions-oriented problem solver
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail and excellent organisation skills
  • Work efficiently, under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high confidentiality at all times
  • Can work independently, show initiative and take full responsibility for completion of duties

    • The ability to turn your hand to anything, manage your own workload and deliver - often to short deadlines.

    • Knowledge of the financial markets, broking and MIFID II, while not essential would be nice to have.

    • Demonstrated and effective communication skills in writing and verbally.

    • Open to innovative ideas/ experiences and ability to create new ideas, approaches or insights.

    • Understands ideas and has a viewpoint on the markets and economy.

    • Evidence of being comfortable working in fast paced or pressured environments.

  • UI Developer - React
    £750 - £775 per day + Hybrid working

    UI Developer

    Day Rate:
    £750-£775p.d
    Start Date:
    Flexible - ASAP - Feb 23
    Duration:
    6 months initial - Likely to extend

    We are currently recruiting a contractor for a major bank for an initial 6 month contract.

    Key Technical Skills:

    • 5+ years of experience with JavaScript and HTML
    • Extensive experience of developing Web-based UIs with React
    • Experience of Python or a JVM based language desirable
    • Understanding of HTTP and REST based architectures
    • Experience working in a Financial Services, Banking environment or related is critical for this role

    Nice to have:

    • Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL
    • Any experience with tools such as TeamCity, Kubernetes, OpenShift and Amazon Web Services would be beneficial.
    • Open and collaborative communication
    • Experience and aptitude of Agile and DevOps approaches – e.g. continuous integration, test automation, frequent releases, containerisation


    Competencies:

    • Ability and willingness to take personal responsibility for timeliness and quality of delivery
    • Strong collaborative communication with business users and other technology teams
