Information Governance Lead - £50,000

I’m delighted to be representing a fully integrated Fund and Corporate services provider dedicated to international clients.

Their vertically integrated approach provides customers with solutions across the entire value chain of investment structures, from middle office support at fund level, all the way down to local special purpose vehicles and property companies.

With 2,200 Employees and counting their Data and Information Governance structure is extremely highly valued and they’re now looking to bring on a lead to help implement new policies and procedures.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

  • The Information Governance Lead is a member of the organisations Data team and is accountable for the management and information governance of all the organisations customer and team members personal data across the business.
  • The role of the Information Governance Lead is to create, coordinate, publicise and monitor the standards of information handling throughout the organisation, ensuring that employees are fully informed of their own responsibilities for maintaining the standards and that information about the standards is made available to the public where appropriate.
  • The Role Holder must be able to drive and lead the Information Governance to assure regulatory accountability.
  • The Role Holder must be able to accurate and valid interpretation and evaluation of findings, conclusions, and justification from ICO regulations. In addition, the role holder must be able to clearly and concisely articulate such learnings along with business options and recommendations to positively influence the decision-making of peers and senior management across the organisation in setting Information Governance policy’s, principles, processes and framework, along with their implementation.



KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Implementation of Information Governance policy’s that aligns to business strategies while fulfilling the Data Vision and developing data and analytics maturity within the business to ensure performance and practice surpasses industry maturity through controlled and planned IG.
  • Governance of all data across the business and wider organisation, ensuring that principles, policies, and controls are defined and validated following a risk-based approach, and integrated into processes, local working practices, and behaviours across the organisation and utilises best practice while complying with relevant standards relating to areas including data protection, information security, and data management
  • Complete an annual assessment of Policy’s, principles and procedures against the requirements in the IG Policy is completed.
  • Ensure policy and procedures are reviewed on an annual basis and arrange for amendment as necessary.
  • Fulfil all Data Subject Access Requests ensuring they are fulfilled as per regulations and policy
  • Co-ordinate data incidents ensuring the Information Governance Manager is briefed accordingly


Role Context & Scope

To provide context as to the scope of the role, the Role Holder is responsible for the following elements as part of the Data Operating Model including Policies, principles, Frameworks and procedures::

  • All Information Governance regulations that govern data underpinning ALL operational processes, systems, current and future KPIs , mandatory reports and Data underpinning the business Strategy.
  • Information classification
  • External standards
  • Data protection
  • Access rights and information security
  • Archival and retention needs
  • GDPR
  • PII inventory, Privacy by Design framework, Data Protection Impact Assessments


DATA & ANALYTICS GOVERNANCE

  • Review, identification and quantification of all Data & Analytics risk that impacts the business through proactive collaboration with business functions, leaders, data users, and data stewards, with definition and implementation of appropriate and validated governance principles, policies, and controls that mitigate such risk to authorised levels of acceptance
  • Proactive liaison with Compliance, Internal Audit, Data Protection, IT, and other similar functions to assure adherence to Information Security, General Data Protection Regulation, TPS, MPS, and all other relevant protocols and regulations
  • Building of effective and enduring relationships with the wider data community and in particular IT and Data Stewards within the business to identify and mitigate risks that arise from data activities, processes, and systems through ensuring mechanisms for data risk resolution, facilitating and enforcing data quality improvement efforts and policies and controls, and taking proactive measures to prevent data-related issues before they occur


KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Experience in comparable industries and operationally-sized organisations of implementing and positively exercising policies, procedures, and controls that illustrate rules of engagement, decision and ownership rights, and accountabilities for the effective management of risk across the organisation

  • HR Project Manager - 12 month FTC
    £40000 - £45000 per annum


    I am seeking an HR Project Manager to join a fast paced, multinational organisation of around 1000 employees to join on a 12 month fixed term contract and support the People & OD Director in driving HR projects within the People function. It is a hands-on role that blends general HR experience with managing HR Projects for the delivery of HR solutions and services to improve management and HR practices. The role will manage and co-ordinate the activity, delivery and reporting of the People Plan, and any associated business change programmes. Lead and drive specific projects or workstreams working with Best Practice Teams and/or our global HR team.

    • Define, manage and deliver specific projects or workstreams e.g. HR Processes Library to make sure key milestones are identified and agreed
    • Devise and manage the regular HR and project reporting and analytics with associated business improvement highlighting benefits, risks, issues and mitigations
    • Produce the monthly People reports and dashboards
    • Identify and build effective relationships with stakeholders outside the function to make sure we have agreed and aligned dependencies to deliver the People Plan
    • Work with local HR teams to develop local implementation plans to make sure projects are delivered to budget, time and policy
    • Support the upskilling of HR team to deliver HR services aligned to best practice



    The ideal candidate will have a combination of HR Generalist experience with strong project management expertise.

    • Practical understanding, experience and pragmatic delivery of HR processes and practices
    • A background in managing HR Projects and driving better practice
    • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and pre-empt client needs and take innovative solutions to them
    • Ability to solve problems and identify solutions and be proactive in approach
