Overview of Role

We are looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our growing Technical SME team, specifically focussing on Infrastructure and to help strengthen our recruitment capability within Financial Services.

The Technical SME team has a well established presence in the London Financial Services recruitment market therefore providing an existing client base to actively recruit for and to develop business with. When i say this is a Warm Desk I mean that we recieve a high volume of roles through from clients that we actively place with on a regular basis.

As a Senior Recruitment Consultant you will take responsibility for delivery in to our existing accounts, managing the full recruitment life-cycle process and account management/development.

Key Responsibilities

To develop and build a dual (contract and perm) recruitment desk within Infrastructure

  • Managing and delivering full life cycle recruitment across your own roles
  • Focus on active account management across our Financial Services clients, ensuring we identify and meet with existing and new Hiring Managers and get heads up on roles being released
  • Assisting with the client management and candidate delivery on existing accounts
  • Other business development activities to include, generating and following up on leads, developing sponsors/coaches within accounts
  • Growing and establishing a candidate database
  • Delivering to set financial and performance targets

Key experience/skills

Previous experience of working in a 360 degree IT recruitment role

  • A background/knowledge of Financial Services is desirable
  • Excellent client and candidate management skills, along with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Recruitment delivery experience
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed financial sales targets

  • Legal Consultant - IBOR
    £650 - £700 per day + Inside IR35

    Leading Investment Bank have an exciting opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join the team on a temporary basis to support the Legal input required for IBOR transition. Teh Bank are currently preparing for the transition of IBOR benchmarks to alternative reference rates and there is increasing regulatory focus on this on a global scale. The EMEA region has established an IBORs transition programme as part of a global IBORs transition programme. The Legal department is integral to the programme. We are looking for a qualified lawyer with strong financial services and transaction background to support this Legal work-stream in EMEA.

    In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for Legal input into the EMEA IBOR Programme across the Bank and Securities business under a dual-hat arrangement. The role will include the following key areas of responsibility:

    • Advise on the review and remediation of contracts referencing LIBOR.
    • Advise on new RFRs and transactions adopting these rates
    • Advise on legal and regulatory issues arising as a result of LIBOR transition.
    • Supporting and advising on internal and external communications
    • Identify and advise on legal and regulatory and market developments arising under IBOR transition and the impact on the Firm and international business.
    • Liaising with the EMEA IBOR Programme and other stakeholders and ensuring completion of Legal deliverables to the IBOR Programme.
    • Coordinating with coverage lawyers in EMEA Legal team and international Legal team.
    • Providing updates and briefings for stakeholders including management

    Skills:

    Qualified as a solicitor with 5+ years PQE with demonstrable experience in regulation, regulatory change.

  • Head of Internal Audit
    Up to £94879 per annum + company car, pension, bonus, healthcare


    Overview:
    The Head of Internal Audit will be responsible for managing the internal audit function in accordance with the various regulations such as Solvency II, JSOX. The jobholder will be based at our clients head office in Luxembourg and will travel to its branches across Europe. The position reports to the CEO, but also retains functional reporting relation to the Head of International Audit and the Audit Committee reporting to its Board of Directors.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • To plan, manage and execute value added internal audits across all European locations, to provide assurance on the internal controls’ environment, governance and risk management framework.
    • Performing and leading annual JSOX / internal controls testing, walkthroughs and flowcharts for all European locations to comply with company regulations.
    • Liaising with the business to obtain progress updates on control and audit findings and then performing remediation testing.
    • Performing routine testing across all departments and areas including but not limited to underwriting, claims, reinsurance, finance, human resources, risk management, Solvency II, governance, compliance, actuarial and IT.
    • Documenting and recording all internal audit and JSOX testing on TeamMate audit software.
    • Ensuring all review points raised by Internal Audit management are accurately cleared and on a timely basis.
    • Produce accurate and complete working papers that support the audit findings and producing the final internal audit report that is presented to the client.
    • Liaising with the Luxembourg regulator if necessary as holder of a key regulatory function.
    • Keeping up to date with regulatory, auditing and legal changes.
    • Liaising with staff and management across the insurance group.
    • Work with the Head of International Internal Audit and the audit team on various administration, reporting and departmental tasks.
    • Ad hoc internal audit projects, testing and tasks.


    Skills and Experience Specification:

    • At least 7 years’ experience in audit functions, preferably in insurance and/or financial services.
    • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) holder, studying towards CIA or equivalent would be considered an asset. Committed to on-going professional development.
    • University degree in Accounting, Audit, Finance or other related field
    • Excellent English written & oral communication skills with an emphasis on tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
    • French, German and / or Spanish language skills would be highly advantageous.
    • Good organisational skills & proven ability to multi-task.
    • High standard of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Willingness and ability to travel, most specifically around European branch offices (around 30-40% of the role).
    • Experience working with audit management system software, particularly TeamMate is preferred.
    • Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio).
    • Ability to work remotely for a small and very busy internal audit team.
