A long-term contract assignment has come up to work for a key customer who are looking for an Infrastructure Solutions Architect who can design, implement, and put in play best practice around the below technology.
The Role:
You will Design and deliver Infrastructure solutions to enable product delivery and transformation.
We work alongside Engineering Leads to understand application requirements to draw out infrastructure designs.
- We align with an IT team responsible for a banking product or service, where we work proactively to influence their strategy, whilst translating their business requirements and specifications into infrastructure designs; exploring delivery options, documenting decisions, and iterating ideas as you go
- Providing consultancy and cost estimates, to ensure your business can budget accordingly and make informed strategic decisions
- Using your experience of leading Suppliers, SMEs and Supply Lines to write work packages that are clear, understood and delivered on time
- Working with PMs and Delivery Leads to formulate plans and understand costs
- Engaging suppliers and internal delivery teams
- Coordinating build activities with internal or 3rd party service providers
- Supporting through testing cycles
- Collaborating with service owners to ensure systems are properly tested and supported following go-live
Technical skills required:
Proven experience of delivering process across the implementation and dealing with high-level stakeholders across the business.
- Able to design/architecture of infrastructure solutions in a large-scale enterprise environment,
- Experience across a broad range of infrastructure technologies (e.g. IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, Middleware, Storage, Network, Servers, Virtualisation, Databases, etc)
- Producing quality design documentation (HLD & LLD)
- Hands-On experience of end-to-end project delivery
- Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall delivery models including modern software development and deployment practices
- Understanding of building applications through containerised microservices-based architectures, with a working understanding of cloud methodologies
- Experienced in migrating legacy applications to cloud based solutions (both to in house private cloud and external e.g. GCP or Azure ideally
- Technologies we would be expecting experience in (not necessarily all but an awareness) – Windows Server, Linux, UNIX, SQL, oracle, Websphere, SAN infrastructure, VmWare, Citrix, IBM P Series, Oracle Hardware, HP and Lenovo plus good experience of networking technology such as F5, firewalls.

A Global Financial Services provider working at the heart of the world’s financial, energy and commodities markets covering FX, Rates, Credit, Equities and Energy & Commodities are looking for a Senior Platform Services Analyst to join their team in London.
Clients include banks, insurance companies, pension and hedge funds, asset managers, energy producers and refiners, as well as risk and compliance managers and charities.
Responsibilities:
- Working within a shift rota to provide support coverage from 7am – 6pm
- Contribute towards ‘follow the sun’ support model, working closely with global teams in APAC and US to ensure pre-market health checks are performed for each region
- Perform regional start of day health checks to ensure all members are connected to the platform
- Utilising proprietary tools, provide daily application support and troubleshooting for platform members and internal users, escalating to Development teams appropriately
- Daily interaction with all internal stakeholders with regards to support issues
- Efficiently create and track issues within an incident-management system to help identify trends and patterns
- Create and monitor internal reports and usage queries
- Assist with product testing and project work
Skills:
- At least 3 years hands-on support experience within a financial institution (buy-side, sell-side, venue/platform provider)
- Proven experience of MSSQL, Oracle and Sybase database environments, including complex query-writing
- Solid application support experience within a Unix / Linux environment
- Good working knowledge of the FIX protocol
- Proven experience of supporting Windows Server environments
- Experience in troubleshooting network problems: i.e. firewall and routing problems
- Good understanding of international Equity market mechanics and flows
Desirable:
- Exposure to supporting message-based architecture
- Working knowledge of at least one buy-side or sell-side Order Management System
- Good understanding of Fixed Income market mechanics and flows
- Experience with industry-standard monitoring tools (ITRS or similar)
