I am currently looking for an Integration Architect (Cloud/ Middleware) to join a top financial services organisation based in London. The role will be a permanent role and will be working on a new project within the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop architectures to enable the decoupling of non-core internal business applications from the core settlement & payment systems.
  • Produce the application taxonomy mapping and update the application catalog to enable completion of cost allocation by applications.
  • Integrate project solutions with the business domain, enterprise concerns, industry standards, design patterns, and best practices
  • Design integration “middleware”, such as a messaging, identity management, authentication/authorization frameworks, as well as infrastructural services related to integration
  • Provide technical leadership & mentoring to infrastructure engineers, DBAs, and developers on technical integration tasks

Skills/ responsibilities required:

  • Significant experience as an Integration Architect or Solutions Architect
  • Significant experience architecting integration solutions
  • Strong knowledge of integration design patterns, industry best practices with experience of applying them to solve real-life problems.
  • Knowledge of middleware technologies (e.g. ESB, API’s, Microservices, BPM, workflow)
  • IBM MQ experience
  • Demonstrable experience delivering cloud solutions from initiation through to production.
  • Experience with AWS/ Azure (Office 365)

Location - London

Role – Permanent

Salary – 90,000 - £120,000

Job description

Lead the technology team in one or more specified projects within the service platform.

Migrate legacy components that are running on-premises to public cloud.

Provide technical direction for the development led testing function and automation

Containerize new applications and build/configure existing docker components.

Support CI/CD work streams during system integration across multiple components using orchestration tools.

Provide L3 support for the current live service and future enhancements during regular hours and be available on call as scheduled.

Qualifications

Experienced Application Architect

Excellent Core Java with good understanding of multithreading, database access, performance tuning and design patterns.

Experience on server-side development.

Experience in a diverse set of technologies including SQL, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, Junit, Mockito, Apache Spark, Storm and related technologies.

Practical experience in developing software products/solutions that are deployed on cloud (as PaaS, SaaS) using a client/server or peer-to-peer architectures is highly desirable.

Hands-on experience in working with container-based service like Docker.

Possesses knowledge of complex database concepts and ensures project teams are effectively employing appropriate database design techniques.

You will be a hands-on architect, implementing architecture and technical solution for their large-scale enterprise systems. You will have hands-on experience in software development and be able to manage complex programs. You will be willing to come in and make significant changes whilst understanding code and working with their development team.

Responsibilities

  • Understand company needs to define system specifications

  • Plan and design the structure of a technology solution
